It's a great milestone, though it's a little unfortunate for Lou and Mickey that their injuries kept their hits so limited.

Yup the man is sick. Even if you put him at an offensively bloated position like first base he's still the best hitter in the AL, then accounting for him as a catcher, just wow.

Not only that, but by all accounts one of the finer defensive catchers in the league too.  He was arguably the best player in the AL last year, and this year he added some more pop to his bat to put him easily over the top.  It's kinda scary that so many writers seem to be supporting Teix for MVP; if Mauer doesn't win it, it will be one of the biggest snubs ever.

Also winning teams of course get favored it's a shame. The same with Cy Young voting. If you look at past winners the number of wins plays a huge roll in who wins the Cy Young. Grienke isn't even a serious contender just because his team can't score runs.

Grienke's got to get it.  Nobody has THAT many more wins than him, and his ERA is like a half run lower than anyone else's.

What the hell has happened to the D-Rays? 11 losses in a row. Is this the same team that went to the WS last year?

Dodgers 1 behind the Bucs right now.  3-2.  I really like this pitcher Pitt is using  Duke.  Holding the Dodgers to three hits in 7 innings so far. Can't believe how young all these guys on Pitt are.  With St Louis losing an Colorado getting punked again by the Giants I hope the Dodgers pull this out. Looks like the Cubbies are rolling over and playing dead to complete the Cardinals season.

Well if the Dodgers don't wrap up home field in the NL they have no one to blame but themselves.  They have the next 9 games against each of the last place teams in the NL.  It is on the road but that shouldn't matter.
