Yeah, I'm in the same boat E .. Bucs somehow sold enough tickets the NFL decided to not press their "Blackout" policy, so I'll be able to watch the season opener..  Not too sure I want to this afternoon.  Atleast I'll know where the Bucs will stand in the grand scheme of things with our two first home games, Dallas and the Giants.

Cassell out. Croyle gets the start. 0-1 is an almost certainty.

Guess I'll have to get the NFL ticket this year, won't be able to watch all the Buc games, they are back to playing 30 minutes of football, was one of the things Dungy changed when he came, the game is for 60 minutes!

Sorry about KC.. E.

Redskins still don't look like they are ready to be an elite team.. though its very early in the 1st, haha..

You know, as bad as the team as a whole looked in the first half, it should've been a bigger blowout. If not for the blocked punt recovered for a TD and an interception by Johnson taken all the way down to the 6, it would've been. Ravens had us in every statistical category, yet we were tied with 2 minutes left. How in the @#&! does that happen?

It was a better game than I thought it would be. Actually looking more forward to the Chicago/Green Bay game tonight.

The Lions scored 27 points.....and still lost.  No surprises there.  Stafford threw 3 picks, so he is most likely on a pace to break Manning's interception record.  That is probably the most interesting stat us Lions' fans will have to watch this year.

Favre made it through game 1 without being injured or retiring.  Clap
...that moment you realize you like "Mob Rules" better than "Heaven and Hell"

Man, I hope he's playing when the Vikings go into Lambeau. I REALLY want to watch that game.

How did Stafford look? Do they at least have their future QB, or do you think he'll flame out?

I can't say.  I was at the Tigers' game so I only heard the score and the final quarter on the radio.  His numbers weren't very impressive as he completed almost as many passes to the Saints as he did to the Lions.  3 interceptions and 11 completions (might be more, that might have been before he completed 3 or 4 passes at the end before throwing his final pick).  It didn't sound impressive though.  They said that he was either under throwing or over throwing most of his passes, which means that he sounds like your average Lions' quarterback over the last 50 years.

At least I'm not a Redskins fan. Man, that offense is brutal!

If you get a chance to watch the fake field goal by the Skins, keep your eye on the place kicker as the holder scrambles to his right. The kicker for the skins just shoves a Giant like in a bar fight and knocks him square on his butt. Friggin' hilarious!

Interception record in a season:

1.  42 George Blanda, Houston, 1962
2. 35 Vinny Testerverde, Tampa Bay, 1988

The guys on Football America (ch 8) are saying Stafford looked good...

Really looking forward to this CHI vs. GB also!!

Is Manning's record for a rookie quarterback maybe?  I saw an interview of Manning where he fully supported Stafford starting for the Lions and the guy starting for the Jets because he was looking forward to somebody breaking the interception record that he set in his rookie season.

Maybe.. Vinny didn't play much his Rookie season in '87..

Wow, Cutler's head is NOT in this game at all, ..  Lovie doesn't deserve this, starting to think of Ryan Leaf, Tongue

Neither offense is looking very good, but you're right...Cutler looks like he's completely lost out there.

So far, the best thing I've seen from tonight's broadcast in Faith Hill slinkin' around in that sexy black outfit and singing the theme song. Holy cow that girl still melts my face.

Nice to see my Ravens pull off a win but we handed the Chiefs quite a few points, and I don't like seeing that.My hats off to the Chiefs though, they played tough.

Sanchez looked good for the Jets today, can't say the same for Stafford.

Jodi, the Chiefs never should've been in that game. We didn't get our first first down until late in the first half, our secondary couldn't do anything against the pass and the front line couldn't put any pressure on Flacco. I think it was Gannon who said that Flacco could've balanced his checkbook with all the time he had back there. It's going to be another long year in KC, I'm afraid.

Giants beat the Skins 23-17.

The defense was pretty crushing, (and SOO glad to see Osi back!)
O-line still good. The G-men didn't avoid Haynesworth, in fact they were running straight at him.

Giants looked good.

Other notes: Drew Brees throws for 6 touchdowns and the Vikings might be scary. The Favre/Peterson combo + Chester Taylor and speedster Percy Harvin, very frightening

Yes the Giants Defensive look in very fine form...

Still, they ate completely the Redskins first touchdown, what a brilliant play Zorn call.

Looks like another stellar season to be a Rams fan. Seahawks shut them out.
