I came here to say one thing: seventy f**king seven minutes!

I hope it's good, but that's just waaaay too long.

I don't know...I think of how some albums pretty much just flow from one track to the next (kind of like The Hazards of Love or The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway).

The problem is, it's Stolt...and he can be one of the most meandering composers ever.

What exactly are you listening to?

There were 3 announcements that the new Transatlantic album will include a 77 minute epic.

This probably makes up for Portnoy's disappointment that he couldn't get 6DOIT Disc 2 to be a single track.

Transatlantic are one of my favorite modern day "Retro" prog bands.  That 77 minute epic will make it awfully difficult to get them into my top artists since it will only count as 1 song per play. LOL

Aren't Porcupine Tree doing an epic too?

Besides, 80 minutes epics are nothing to me.

Well it could have been recorded in 2008 and not released until 2009.  So hopefully that is the case.

Next time Luke is around ask him exactly what it says.

I'll see if I ever get an answer from the band.  LOL

This link mentions it as 2008 http://www.spectable.com/anthurus-darcher-jean-louis/95373?post_date_id=173978

No other mention I could find.

Luke will tell us (if he hasn't already).
The band could too, through a PM. It will certainly serve to know, at least for the addition.

It usually means when it was released.

It specifies if it's recorded or otherwise.

I've sent a message to the band, via myspace.

Hopefully before Pat did. ApproveEvil SmileEmbarrassed

Oooh, well that is more tempting to go with.

The band have been in existence at least since 2007 though.

They seem fairly active, which deepens how weirdly obscure they are.
