I got used to the bus passing my place every 15 minutes real quickly, hahaha

Yeah well I'm used to the planes landing every 5 minutes, but lawnmovers are a totally different thing.

I need to listen to Cheer-Accident so I can decide if it's better than Jean Louis... I doubt it will be though.

I guess it depends on which one you hear first.  You heard Fear Draws Misfortune first, so it probably will hold more importance to you than Jean Louis, which I heard first.

Also, I wish I'd heard Polar Bear's self-titled last year, 'cause it would have been my non-prog album of the year.

That bias could exist, I suppose.  The two albums are so completely different, so it's a tough comparison.

I'm about to spin mirthKon now, need to give that more listens in order to give it it's proper place in the "list".

Hell of a year no matter how you sort it.

Nope. The band that's on everyone's lips (this time) is Jean Louis.

Only on mine, Luke's, occasionally Pat's and now David Trouserpress's and Cleo's...

LOL

Cleo and David both thought it was awesome too. Big smile

They couldn't pick a worse name, though. With all the Jean Louis in the world, google doesn't highlight them at all. You have to write 'Jean Louis Tranche (001)' to get to the Wayside purchase page.

Say, why don't we make a wikipedia page for them?

Jean Louis Tranchemusic

That's all you need in Google.

Or even just Tranchemusic.

But I agree.  Their name is extraordinarily bad in terms of searching.  They weren't even on RYM until I added them the other week.

It just means you have to be in the know to know about them, gotta hang out with the cool kids.

If you need to search for them on Google, you've already failed.

I know.

Oh well.

Going to play Bartok's Sonata and Concerto for the next half-hour. Without mistakes, if possible. Wacko

Listen to these two already, James!

No rush, Pat.

Also, typing in Aymeric Avice also works on Google.  In fact, Aymeric Avice is on YouTube as well.  Excellent stuff.

But there is little to no information about them anywhere.

Luke even says the CD says 2008 on the back... which makes me a little concerned...

Wasn't it by chance that Luke discovered them on Wayside?

If he wouldn't have had, James's best album of the year would be Animal Collective. LOL

They're on a Wayside sampler that comes with every order.  So one of us would have heard at some point.
