It's easy. Know what you'll have to pay for, know when you'll have to pay it, know what your income is. What's left is free to use as you see fit. Save a little, but hey, emergencies are what parents are for

Rob The Orb, I see you're working hard to enter my "Top 3 Shredders That I Hardly Ever Agree With", now that you've published your Turn Of The Cards review.

Wow, long Astra album is long.
Generally, not a positive comment. I take it that you were bored with the Astra album?
Not at all! (well, I agree the clique-comment doesn't inspire something positive)
For 78 minutes, The Weirding has incredibly few cracks, and keeps me awake the whole time. The psych is intriguingly reinforced with what I found to be Lizard-inspired music and motives.
Full clappies to Astra, and this is quite an inspired and focused way to make a debut.

I'm still working my way through my Eric Clapton CDs. About 3 more to go with some prog sprinkled within. I listened to the debut Logos album yesterday and enjoyed it, so I think that I will give the follow up a listen today too. Both albums were available for free download from their website. What is on your agenda for today?

Yep. Always on it. You did say it was your least favourite of their masterpieces, though... mine too

The least masterpiece is still a masterpiece.
Actually, I always think the real masterpiece is making three consecutive extraordinary albums. Turn Of The Cards does leak a bit. But it's nowhere near desolating.

Jackson Heights, Ougenweide, Can and Zappa this afternoon (already going through Can, as you can probably see), Jaco Pastorius, an indie album and Zorn in the evening.

I didn't care for Can when I first heard them about 5 years ago, but I gave their albums another listen a month or 2 ago and I actually mostly liked them. There were a couple of songs that I didn't care for too much, but otherwise it was much better than I remembered.

oooh, that sounds like a plan. I've got a few that I'd love to watch again. The girlfriend is gone for the rest of the week as well, visiting parents, so i can watch whatever the hell I want!
Something tells me that later today it'll be Clockwork Orange time.
