While running some water for cleaning I was reminded how easy some of us have it over others when it comes to things like this.

I suppose I do, but I am very grateful for everything I have.

Corporations are hard at work for making you and others pay more for this.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

What exactly does it mean to take them for granted? I'm very aware that I am not only much more privileged than people living in 3rd world countries, but also more privileged than many people living in this country, but I'm not sure how I would handle living without many of these conveniences despite this awareness.

I wish I lived in a cave so I could take it for granted. I don`t even have a cell phone. I was thinking about getting one when they first came out but they didn`t have one with a circular dial.

When I visited Doolin, Ireland, I came across a sign that said, "there is a water shortage in Doolin, please don't waste water." I mean I knew about water shortages in the so-called third world, but like for most people that was pretty abstract to me. But Ireland. I'm trying not to waste water since then.

A shock of a different magnitude came when I visited Chelyabinsk, Russia.

But I guess like anyone in the "privileged" countries, I can't help but take certain things for granted that really aren't.

I firmly believe that since everyone here has access to the internet that anyone who votes anything other than "Yes" is lying.

I really don't think about it.  If I did think about it more often, I'd say yes.

I assume so.

The truthful answer for me is I don't really think about it. I'm a pessimist and thus by nature I focus on the bad not the good. Tongue
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

Chances are, if you don't really think about it, you probably do take it for granted.
