Look forward to hearing more from you,

Alright, he can breathe for a little bit, but while we are waiting we should discuss something he is familiar with, so he can pipe right in whenever he feels like it.

Sum of No Evil anyone?Wink

it sucks....

No, seriously, as a whole, I find it one of TFK's most mature works alongside Unfold the Future. However, the album as a whole doesn't grab me much, though definitely would rate it high because I can see it's magnitude of greatness musically. Maybe the songs are longer than they should? Hmm, not sure, but there's something that's missing or something that doesn't fit well....

My honest opinionSmile

I have Flower Power on in the car, and aside from some obvious fillers, it's a really strong disc.

Shouldn't we be due a new Flower Kings disc here shortly? It's been a while.

From what I know, they're pretty much in a hiatus(sp?).

However, you must know the other projects which the members from TFK are in, that are pretty active.

Yeah it's 2 years now. We should hear an announcement soon. Although, they are fairly busy (Transatlantic, Agents of Mercy, etc.)

Flower Power has become one of my favorites as well.  Great set all around.

I'm going to see Misters Stolt and Reingold in October, if I get the chance, I'll ask them about

Deep breath.  It's never been one of my faves (comparatively speaking) to be honest.  One More Time is simply divine and the closer is brilliant too.  I find Love Is The Only Answer one of their least-inspiring epics though I know I'm in the minority here.  I just don't find it that cohesive although there are many great parts.

Strangely enough, I love Trading My Soul, and I know most people hate that one LOL.  Flight 999 is one of their poorest instrumentals.

The album would get a mere 4 stars from me.

Last night I Listened to Stardust we are - Both CD's - This is my favourite FK production - CD 1 is flawless and CD 2 has excellence through-out and the EPIC title track is as good as anything the flokis have produced - who's with me???

Also - it's about time that DSOTM got bombed by the Forza Flokis Militia - just like those who give SWA one star !!!! Who's with me ???

FORZA FLOKIS..............

Well Rob, I agree fully on Stardust We Are.  It's superlative and my favourite TFK album too Tongue.

I totally disagree on Dark Side Of The Moon though.  I personally think it's a great and timeless album.  There's many many discs in the upper reaches of the PA Top Albums that are much worse in my humble opinion.

Let's stick on concerting our efforts to get TFK's albums higher in the ratings rather than resorting to these tactics.  Us TFK fans, we're much better than that.

By the way, did you ever get a response from Sean Trane? LOL

You really sound like an enforcer or something. You should know we are a peaceful bunch here (maybe even a bunch of whimps eh ? LOL) and we certainly don't go out on the prowl to bash other bands or albums. Sorry dude, but like the flokis (I like that word) we're just decent. (I hope I judged my comrades well in this matter Tongue)

Still I can relate to your review of DSoTM (unlike Roj) at least to a certain extent. I dislike most of the tracks of the so called masterpiece but I really LOVE Money and Time and I like Us and Them. So that's why I gave it three stars in the end.

I'm afraid he (we) did ! Trane reviewed Sum of no Evil and gave it two stars. Ouch. That man is hopeless.

Enforcer eh? I reckon that posting binary patterns onto a web site to force a particular statistic in the general direction it deserves to go (from my point of view) is a fairly non-violent participation. I am not suggesting a Crystal-nacht style - burn all the DSOTM copies in large bonfires action Tongue

FORZA FLOKIS !!!!
And as far as violence is concerned - I see it as the last refuge of the ignorant......

PEACE!

Mr Trane outlined his position as a reviewer - I think thats fair enough - He's not keen on Contemporary symphonic prog bands - His reviews reflect this............
