Topic: The Ignorables' Thread Posted: August 07 2009 at 00:05 |
Have you ever made contact with somebody for any reason, only to be ignored or avoided at length? Have you ever wanted to ask somebody a question, only to receive silence in return? Have you ever felt like spilling your guts out to somebody, only to have them disregard or attack you for sharing? If any or all of these symptoms have occured, then you my friend, are ignorable! Step right up, fellow footnotes (if there are any others here, that is), and share your shameful loneliness with the rest of us. Stories are welcome, but don't expect any moral support . . . you might just get IGNORED!

1. Ignored? No. Avoided at length? Yes. (A girl I (used to) like )
2. My Health teacher, all the time, because I proved he was incompetent (He told me that on a Breathalyzer, the 0.1 means 10%... IDIOT!)
3. My best friends are a bit like that - In that, I'll listen to all their petty problems and help, but they won't return the favour

Haha, we've all been there, bro!

Lol, wow. That guy should get fired.

I hate to break this to you, but . . . if they act that way, they aren't your best friends.
| But don't worry, I'll be your friend. Let the healing begin, lol.

On the "Best friends" thing... They sort of are, but at the same time, really aren't...

With me, it's mostly the first case presented in Joel's example. Also, sometimes I ramble on (mostly to myself) then come out of nowhere with a question, sometimes those get ignored.

Well, I admit, I did start this thread initially out of self-pity. I just had my ass handed to me by someone I thought was a friend, so this wasn't completely out of the desire to listen to others; it was also to confirm that I was not the only one who was small in some else's world despite talking to me on a regular basis.
If that made any sense . . .

May I ask, what did the friend do?

All the magazines I've sent stories or poems to have ignored me.

Ah, the High School years . . . God, I hated that place. If I were you, I'd be scratching off the days 'till graduation on my locker wall.

So sick of school
I'm semi looking forward to leaving, but then I have to face the prospect that I'm no longer a child and have to work for forty years
| That's why you become a musician! You get payed to have fun. (Then again, maybe you shouldn't listen to me. I'm among the 'starving artist' demographic, so what do I know?) |
I've been playing piano for ten years, but the only problem I've had so far is forming a group with friends at school... My two technically able friends (Who play Bass and Guitar... Very, very very well) are interested in playing Obscura-esque metal, and my other friend, who is great at singing and writing is only interested in indie or hardcore
I'm planning on recording some of my more proggy piano stuff, but I don't have any decent software
