Alternately, for fun, you could try a  poll where you express your general sentiments/ ideas, main points that you want to make, or your angle/ point of attack, for potential reviews that you are considering making, and then we choose based on your expressed opinions.

For my preference, I voted for You again (Gong's You, not a vote for you), but I have no idea which review is really best for you -- which album will generate the most inspired review.  People complain of narcissism, but your choice should reflect on your muse (even if that muse is ultimately yourself -- your facets that draw you to something).  Follow your bliss, just try not to drown when you see you reflection staring back up at you.

And if making these polls is following your bliss, and reflects on your personality and way of making choices in life, then go right ahead with them.   I might suggest a central  thread without a poll, though, where you can list your newest choices and ask what people think so that you don't have to keep on making new polls all the time.  It's more important what people have to say, and your discussions with them, than a simple vote which merely reflects on other's tastes.  Follow your tastes, inclinations. and sensations, would be my suggestion, but that also implies that there is no reason why you should follow my suggestions.

Logan told me that instead of opening a thread for every review, I should wait a while and then open a thread like this, so I tell you what I like and how I reviewed what, and based on that you will tell me what is better for me to review :)

Current album ratings:
StarStarStarStarStar Tubular Bells - Oldfield
StarStarStarStarStar Lady Lake Gnidrolog (I think it's good, but it doesn't deserve masterpiece. I was just a young noobling back then)
StarStarStarStarStar Court of the Crimson King
StarStarStarStarStar Voice - Capability Brown
StarStarStarStarStar Hemispheres - Rush
StarStarStarStar Tarkus - ELP
StarStarStarStar Ommadawn - Oldfield
StarStarStarStar The Snow Goose - Camel
StarStarStarStar Rush - 2112
StarStarStarStar Atom Heart Mother - Floyd
StarStarStarStar Thick as a Brick - JT
StarStarStar Dark Side of the Moon (some songs are plain AMAZING, but others feel like fillers)
StarStarStar Rush - s/t
StarStarStar Waterloo Lily - Caravan (two annoying jazz songs made it a three)
StarStarStar Leftoverture - Kansas (just my half-hate at american prog)
StarStar Tales from Topographic Oceans - Yes (you either love it or you hate it, and I hate it)

These are not all my reviews, just the ones that say what I like. Please recommend new things for my to check out, or old things I might know to review...

Quick comment  about your Tales From Topograpic Oceans review - where does this idea that it was Wakeman taking-over come from?

"Part of Wakeman's unfavourable attitude towards the album stems from the fact that vocalist Jon Anderson and guitarist Steve Howe constructed the bulk of the album entirely on their own (as the liner notes suggest), leaving the remaining three members with relatively little to contribute (which the liner notes dispute). The complaints about Anderson and Howe's studio behaviour were not unprecedented: drummer Bill Bruford had left the band for King Crimson a year earlier for similar reasons, and stories abound of Anderson and Howe putting tiles in the studio to simulate the acoustics of a bathroom, while Wakeman, in frustration, spent much of the time playing darts."

Also - TFTO is a slow-burner - you'll never get it on one listen, so recommending people to hear it before buying is not a great idea. It took me 30 years to "get" TFTO.

I've got a few before I can re-write it then, eh? I always thought it was Wakeman who requested the album...

Often first impressions are a good sign - if an album doesn't click on the first two or three spins then perhaps it never will, it's the "Old Grey's Whistle Test" that they use to use in Tin Pan Alley in the 50s. Prog changed all that and I think some albums, like TFTO are not instant hits - then some albums are not worth the effort, there is the law of diminishing returns - ELP's Tarkus does that for me - no matter how much I listen to it, my rewards lessen with each listen - perhaps TFTO is your Tarkus, perhaps it will never click with you. What's your view of Relayer? I think it surpasses CTTE in form, composition, technical ability and overall completeness - even though it is not as "easy-listening" and accessible.

I don't know how Wakeman actually felt about the album before it was recorded - he was certainly disparaging of it after its release.

Maybe TFTO is my Tarkus. I actually listened to Relayer the other day and I have to say, no matter how beautiful and melodic it is, it will never beat CttE. We came here for recommendatiosn, right? So I suggest you start recommending, sir!

I see from your recently played tracks that you gave Brighteye Brison's The Harvest a couple of listens.  What did you think?

Of course I read your post, I was puzzled as to who this "we" were. However, I noticed a few days ago that your TFTO review contained some possible misinformation and this thread reminded me of that, so it was a good opportunity to comment upon it. If I cannot agree with your premise for not liking an album I couldn't possibly make a recommendation - hence my adjoining Relayer question, which we have now ascertained you do not like as much as CTTE, hence any recommendations I make will miss the mark by a fair degree.

I really really really enjoyed Relayer, it was like every song was the best song ever, but it still didn't compare to CttE.
