You didn't read at all what I said. I said raised on our culture's pop music scene. That wouldn't mean you sit at home all day listening to chamber music.

That's not the average person.

But I'm referring to people who post on P.A. who already listen to less accessible music.

They all think avant-garde means dissonant, noisy, tuneless and a lot more.

This is because I'm listening to Pure Reason Revolution and actually enjoying it. I shouldn't like this kind of music.

I really like The Dark Third, so there you go.  I haven't heard the new one yet.

The new one is the polar oppposite of the debut. While the debut was psychedelic prog-ish with bits of electronica, their sophomore effort is mostly electronica with touches of psychedelic.

I guess I like it as much as I do because I just like electronic music, and it's the first electronica I've heard other than Radiohead that isn't about the same boring, repetitive beat for 3 minutes.

Although the fantastic vocal harmonies are still present.
