Yeah, that's what I thought too, but never once during the album did I think to myself "rip off" or anything, so it was unique enough.

I wouldn't have minded some harsh vocals (I listened to Meshuggah for 3 days straight once), but I think the album turned out to be better without them. It wasn't the most revolutionary metal album I've heard, but it was much more solid than I expected. And they can certainly play their instruments really well. The compositions are crafted pretty well too.

You may really enjoy their new album, but I'm not sure; that's just a gut instinct.

I really like Satellite, (all 4 albums) even if there is a bit of sameness about them. The new Hourglass CD is excellent. For me, non-prog-Chicago Related adult easy listening music:

Reluctantly, I'm going to give it another try. Satellite seems to bore me to tears these days.

I've never heard a single second of Satellite before; I'm trying tons of new things because I acquired a bunch of albums from 2009 and that's all I've been listening to for the past 3 or 4 days. This is good. Not sure what I'll rate it yet, but I can see what you mean. It's not one of the best things I've heard this year, but decent and nothing more. At least that's my first impression so far.

Umphrey's McGee - Mantis
Revisiting it after my initial excitement when it came out, then I tired of it a little. Enjoying it anew.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

That's Nemo .. One of the better releases this year, think you may like it. | I heard it once this week. Very, very good, but the long title track bored me.
