I think I'm going to lose any credibility from anyone who likes prog OR metal by saying I enjoy the music from "Cats" by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

I have all of the Danni Minogue albums - sorry about that. I like Kylie too but she's not as embarrasing.
Someone here said its embarassing to listen to Gary Numan - I do not agree as he is one of the most innovative pioneers of electronica cross nu metal you will ever hear - the new version of cars and the darker albums such as Pure and Hybrid are awesome!

It's not really embarrassing because their music is awesome, but it is definitely different than the typical genres I listen to. |

There's nothing wrong with Killing Joke, one of the most influential bands of the eighties.

Naked City is a project by John Zorn. The same guy released some albums with Mick Harris from Napalm Death under the project 'Painkiller'. And prior to Painkiller John Zorn already released some "brutal" jazz with Joey Baron (also in Naked City) in a tribute to Ornette Coleman called 'Spy vs spy'.

Not sure if these two count as embarrasing, but I've been enjoying quite a bit of The Motels (Martha Davis) and T'Pau lately. But this next one might raise some eyebrows: I've been reading a lot of slamming of Nickelback, so I thought I have to have a listen into some of their songs to see what the hate was about, only to find that they rock. I can see what some of the criticism is about, but nothing that would justify that amount of vehemence.
Anyway, I enjoy a lot of their music. Some stuff is abysmal, mainly where they drift into Aerosmith territory, but mainly It's not bad at all.

I can actually dig, maybe one Nickelback song. The rest really annoys me.

Gary Numan: there was a time when it was very unfashionable to say that you liked his music.
I get the impression that that time has gone.
Great artist BTW

I once heard a clip where two of their singles, possibly from the same album, were playing simultaneously on top of each other. Same tempo, same chords, very slightly different melodies.
