As a death metal fan, I can only believe in the eternal rotting of the flesh and the devourment of the soul by uncanny things that should not be.

Love the song, love the album, but I'm afraid I believe it's lights out for good when one pops one's clogs!

I can't believe I haven't posted in this thread.
Anyway, it should be obvious that the soul doesn't cease to exist at death. If it did, there wouldn't be any ghosts and it wouldn't be possible to summon the spirits of the dead. (I haven't tried it myself, but I've seen it done on TV.) |

What is the spirit? What is it that carries on? What is death? You seek answers Grasshopper, but you have yet to ask the right questions.

I agree. I don't believe in heaven or something like that, but I do believe our spirit remains when our body dies. There are a lot of examples of strange events. One of them: in the city I live stands a house, it's pretty big and old. The house was owned by rich people, as it was very big and luxurious. Those people had people working for them, their bed was in the attic of the house. The strange thing is, that none of the people who stayed at the attic stayed longer than a couple of days. Why? well, because they went crazy, there were no rumors about the house at all, but they just went crazy, they were too afraid to stay. People have researched this and they discovered, that the house was taken by the Nazi's in WWII. A Dutch boy that lived in the house, has been tortured and eventually killed in the attic of the house. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Nope... There was one about Labrie's mustache that got deleted. Here's the old link http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=59428&PID=3305851#3305851 |

What a shame: this topic about Labrie's mustache was coming to great levels of thinking.

I doubt the Spirit Carries On... but seriously, why care? Its going to happen, whether you like it or not. Consider it a surprise, or if there is nothing else "a lack of surprise".
People are afraid of "non-existence", but I don't see why; you won't be around to worry about not existing. |

Why is there no "I don't know yet" option? ;-) |
