Various soundclips from the Archives, checking out new stuff.
Listened to a couple of Magma tracks, which wasn't half bad, and have moved on to Decemberists as they seem to be highly praised here. They were also quite decent. Next stop: RIO as I have no experience at all with this genre. Starting out with Samla Mammas Manna. So far, I'm liking it. After SMM, the next band is Bubu. Also good. Premiata Forneria Marconi - Listened to all the tracks. Some are really good, others a little non-descript at first listen. Phideaux - One of the tracks I listened to wasn't really my cup of tea, the other one (from the latest album) was better but still not quite doing it for me. Popol Vuh - A track called In Den Gärten Pharaos. Not my thing, not really a fan of ambient. Amon Duul II - Sleepwalker's Timeless Bridge. Not bad, much better than Popol Vuh. Awesome album cover (Wolf City). Edited by ColonelClaypool - July 15 2009 at 07:12 |

With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince.
With science, you can turn a frog into a Ph.D. and you still have the frog you started with. |

I should attempt to review this one:
Dang I went to grab the cover art and CD Universe has thirteen albums titled "Eleventh Hour". Seems like two too many. Edited by Slartibartfast - July 15 2009 at 13:14 |

Steve's music started to get much less interesting for me as he settled in to ECM, still good stuff though.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?
