I think there's no question in a progrock forum. Maybe if the poll was done in a straight rock forum the result would be very different

Never did like that band.

Seconded. After hearing that song, you know, the utterly dreadful, enemy-of-all-that-is-good-in-music-and-the-human-race-song ... I think you know the one I'm talking about, at just about every major sporting event I've ever been to or seen on the telly, I've come to hate The Queen with a passion. Seriously hate them.Censored

It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

It's funny that I just now found this poll because Pink Floyd and Queen are my two favorite bands. There is no way to compare them really because their musical style is so different.

Queen has some excellent songs...
But Pink Floyd has some of the very best albums there are.

Pink Floyd with no contest. I enjoy hearing Queen on the radio, and occasionally their greatest hits, but I have a tough time listening to any one album by them.

Besides, Queen is good, but Pink Floyd is truly iconic.

I'd say its the other way around. Queen's songs have been used in everything from sports to ads to, erm, sports again. Floyd, on the other hand...
Nah, that's just commercialism.  Is this to say that Who Let the Dogs Out is better than Money, or that Centerfield is better than Echoes?

I must admit that I have gotten tired of the Waters "I'm the dead man's son" cartharsis he's inflicted on us so many times, Dead and that Queen's "Let's release another meaningless single to sell to the mindless millions" is rather entertaining Clown.  But that's not to say it's any good.

Pink Floyd, without a shadow of a doubt.  I don't mind Queen but they're not a patch on the incredible Floyd, sorry!

I can't decide, both are awesome.
With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince.
With science, you can turn a frog into a Ph.D. and you still have the frog you started with.

Queen for me. My favourite band. Versatile, diverse and composed songs of different genres. Love their early stuff and songs from Miracle and Innuendo.

I can't decide, two very hard bands to compare.

I love the following Pink Floyd albums: Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall

but...

I love the following Queen albums: Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night at the Opera, A Day at the Races

a similar great four album run for both bands. I love them for completely different reasons, almost completely opposite bands.
Please check out my Progressive Music Blog: The Leviathan.
