Not a whole lot. I lost my job last week because the place hired too many servers and I was one of the casualties, but I managed to get a new job today at Kroger's as a cashier, and it could get my foot in the door for my first real job after college. |

Have we got a funny man here? Seriously though, I'm a Finance major, and I could see a grocery chain needing lots of financial advisors in their corporation. |

I believe that it is a sign that you were logged in to PA for a long, long, long time. Even I left before I was on for that long. Although I have returned like a bad penny.

Howdy. It appears as though not only is Rico learning a foreign language in school (German), you are learning a foreign language as well (British, or would it be Cockney?).

Actually, I am taking German as well.
It was the class I was most worried about, (struggled with Spanish in HS) but that was actually the only class last semester I got an A in. Edited by JJLehto - July 11 2009 at 00:26 |

I had Spanish for 2 years in high school and 1 year in college. I only remember a few words here and there at this point though.

I actually like German. It's not that far from English, which would make sense...
and once you get a little bit down it becomes so much more natural. And honestly, I hated spanish. Not so much the class...I HAD to take it and I was a stubborn kid. Also, my last name is Lopez and my mom always said, "It's good for you to know some Spanish. It's not fair...but with your last name people will assume you speak it." I remember thinking, F*CK THAT. Why should I have to just because people are ignorant....So I had it in for Spanish to begin with... |

With a name like Lopez, you should know some Spanish. My last name is of French origin, but I only know a handful of French words, and I am 50% of German descent, but I know even less German.

Of course you never can tell... My last name is Lopez but I am 50% Ukrainian. Only 1/4 Spanish and the rest is Italian. So never a good indication. |
