Topic: Keith Emerson vs rest of prog Posted: March 08 2009 at 18:02 |
Just one of that pointless polls , Keep in mind that if you choose the second option that would mean an alternate reality in which Keith Emerson was never born and music would carry on without him. So when you choose " all prog" is not the prog we already know and love but another sort of music not influenced by Keith.
I know.. I have too much time in my hands

That's no fun... What about something like "Camel vs the Rest of the World", or "Prog vs Camel"?

Vote for Keith Emerson since without him , prog rock would be much more geekier.

I don't think I could bear to watch my album collection shrink to just a handful.

I'd like to see what kind of music a band of Emerson,Wetton,Hackett and Palmer could make.

As much as I like Keith Emerson... When you have Rick Wakeman, Patrick Moraz and Eddie Jobson at the other side of the scale, the prog balance would already be far in 0 - Emerson position.
But wait a minute, Emerson was already working with the Nice while the other three were still in dipers. Of well, that's an exaggeration but still... Emerson was active before the others if I'm not mistaken... Maybe they were secretly influenced by Emerson after all?
Hmm... This is not as easy as I thought
