Fail.

Not.

MDK is always more complex and shifting. Konrotkakorkr is more repetitive, but also has tension and groove and a deep minor, dramatic sound. Theusz is just plain avant rhythms and small intervals shifts, its middle part is utterly hard to digest.

I liked the first listen on Retrospetiw, but the second listen (Opera de Reims) revealed how lackluster it is.

Weakest of the classics.

I've always thought Christian Vander looks like he shops at Hot Topic.

Personally, I think MDK is pushing the limits of repetition.

I actually listen to late 70s Magma the most. Udu Wudu and Attahk are awesome-sauce

And it called it Zeuhl.

But check the others too, they'll leave MDK in the shadow.

And don't be discouraged by Zeuhl altogether, check Weidorje. (Accentuated) Bass Zeuhl > plain Zeuhl.

yeah I always thought that MDK was the album where the irritation was most obvious. I know Kohntarkosz has dirge-like qualities and prefer it because it builds up and transitions between sections whereas I always thought MDK jumped from place to place

Fail.

Seconded. I didn't know Rico could fail so badly.

Well James will third, and Pat will fourth, I know the drill.

Anyone else bored enough to disagree with me, without changing anything? Stern Smile

So you listen to a bad performance and the composition is to blame?

Stick to Retrospektiw.
