Now, maybe it's just me, but I really think no amount of money is worth 150 years... I'm anticipating a ridiculous sentence.

I didn't know they sold them. If so, I'll make it priority to get the new one as soon as I can. |

Apparently he can't.
Federer will win Wimbledon now. Trust me. |

Oooh, now for once in my life, I'll support Hewitt if he's playing Fedex next round.
If he's not, then I'd rather he got knocked out. Edit: he'll player either Verdasco or Karlovich. Edited by James - June 29 2009 at 09:13 |

I don't see Fed losing the tournament. I think the French win put the wind back in his sails - and obviously no pesky Nadal to contend with.

Yep and if Murray gets to play Fedex in the final, then he'll lose.

I don't mind it too much. He generally pulls it off. It just seems odd that he's clearly a very accomplished musician and arranger, and yet he seems to go into safe mode whenever 'emotion' is called for. One of the things I like a lot about players like Emerson, Brubeck, Jan Hammer, Banks and so forth is that they don't dumb down for the soft bits... it just seems a little odd to me that the generally supposed most technical keyboardist of his time is so conservative with pianos relative to his forebears. Minimalistic pianos can be very good, that said, and hearing Wakeman playing Floyd's Nobody's Home was actually really impressive in that respect. |

That's why I love VdGG so much. Hammill generally plays the emotion whilst Banton plays the more experimental and upbeat parts. Although Banton has been known to play some emotion as well.

James, did you see the new VdGG - Live at the Paradiso at Wayside? You can get it as a DVD or 2 CD set.

That's the thing, at his best, Murray can beat anyone... unless Fedex is at his best, then even Murray will lose. So if Fedex has an off day, Murray could win. Fedex won't have an off-day at a Wimbledon final though. |

No. Stop teasing me. I think an order from Wayside is in order soon. I also need the new Hammill. Edited by James - June 29 2009 at 09:21 |

"The Paradiso has been the scene of several
epic shows in VdGG's past.
This one's a gem of an addition to the collection. This was our first
tour as a trio and by the time we arrived in Amsterdam we were well
into our stride, having played nine previous shows. There's a mixture
of old, new and rediscovered material here. The emphasis, though, is on
looking forward rather than backward."-Peter Hammill

And Pat, you should know that I didn't know that... if I visit Wayside, I cannot help myself and end up ordering CDs.
I avoid the place until I feel up for spending money. |

Cool. I saw this when it was being streamed. A great concert and reminiscent of the second time I saw them live. |
