Too hard to do, I'm afraid... Doesn't compare with the unadulterated pleasure of mindless bashing !

Oh right. Thinking up rational reasons for one's opinion requires thought, and that's just too difficult for some people my bad.

I'm extremely curious as to how it'll sound.

I've heard of Bela Fleck, but I'm on a music hiatus at the moment. The radio has gotten to me too much.

I haven't heard any of his solo stuff yet, though I want to. The presence of Victor Wooten in the Flecktones is actually what made me check them out in the first place.

I've heard of him too, but I've never been a fan of bass solos. It's just not an interesting instrument, there's not enough range, even though Victor can does crazy sh*t.

I will laugh if it's just boring In Abstentia alt-rock songs strung together ala TAAB (no, I'm not saying TAAB isn't prog :P).
I will never understand why everyone thinks In Abstentia is a progressive masterpiece. Blackest Eyes sounds like a Breaking Benjamin song!

I really like the bass, but I see what you mean.
Victor's playing is exceptional.

I will agree that In Absentia is not the most progressive thing out there, but I do quite enjoy it. However, I think their two releases after it were better.

I don't even have a problem with other people liking it, I know others don't share my deep hatred of alt-rock conventions. It's just that it seems like we've all gone crazy.
