Thoughts:

1. Listening to Dream Theater to enjoy the lyrics is a Herculean labour. Not recommended. That song does have terrible lyrics, but they sort of work for it as much as they have to, which is to say, not at all.
2. They managed the denouement well. Something I really had never expected from Dream Theater.
3. I like it. Sort of.

1. I&W, Awake, 6 Degrees - all very good. I also like the lyrics to SFAM, so STFU N00B!
2. No, no they didn't. The dude gets up and leaves. K.

EXACTLY! Wink Neither of those songs have lyrics that should ever, ever, ever at all have been written Tongue. If I'd written either of those, I'd have tried to sneakily give the lyrics credit to another band member... I mean, 'centurion of evil', seriously Confused

(and the denouement I was mentioning was strictly musical... I never have and never will condone Dream Theater's lyrics until I get to my Awake review, which I'll obviously post under a pseudonym out of shame)

On a more positive note (other than that the Rush lyric in question was funny enough to be listenable), For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night was better than either ITLOAGAP or IICDIAOAIDIAOY.

I wish I could say you're joking, but I know by now you're notUnhappy.... For Girls is a good album, the last good Caravan album in my opinion, but it lacks one thing: Richard Sinclair. At least that's my opinion,.

Have to admit, I really liked it (only a first listen, I admit), especially the violas. Richard Sinclair's got a great voice and he's a great bassist, but this struck me with a consistency and attack that neither of those great records entirely convinced me of - though they're both at least 4-star records for me (If I Could... could be a 5 on a good day).

At the risk of being murdered:

Five Miles Out is Mike Oldfield's best individual song, easily.

LOL

No. It's good, but not that good.
