But why is that?

Why is a K pronounced that way?

Finland isn't really a part of Scandinavia according to quite a few. Not the same ancestry, language history etc.

Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland are the "true" Scandinavian countries.

Ultimately, I don't know what country I'd choose. A visit should happen first.

Yep.  I always pronounced them as Linkoping and Norrkoping.  It wasn't until my mate corrected me that I was even aware they weren't pronounced that way. LOL

Rob, Finnish is even worse. LOL

I also want to go to Magyarország one day.  My brother's been to Budapest.  The lucky guy.

I've been to Česká republica and specifically Praha and Terezin.
