place, and found the first excuse at their disposal to hurt you. I

I've technically 'finished' (gone through Leaver's Day
and all that), I've sat all my exams now, though I had one to go after
this incident. Four events of note coming up, book return (tomorrow),
'graduation day' (ditto, I think), prizegiving evening and exam
results. 'secondary' school, I guess, well, I'm 18 and I've finished,
so whatever that is. The graduation and prizegiving I can't do, the
book return, I assume I can, but don't know, the exam results might be
sent to me instead, but that should be OK, I guess.
I assume
petty vengeance for various reasons (moral high ground, disagreement
with my father, and, overarchingly, disagreement with myself -
reasonable and not), forwarded by particular members of staff to the
dep head (a decent guy) who needs to be seen as a fairly hardliner
because he's only been in 'office' for a year. Allegedly (according to
some member of staff, I guess, or a passing parent who was offended by
my mere presence) I said offensive or inappropriate things, but I don't
believe that's true - I can remember the event surprisingly well, but
not that, and I simply don't tend to. Anyway, moving on, I'd like to be
able to discuss the matter reasonably with the members of staff I
assume were involved, and, much more importantly, I'd like to be able
to offer my thanks and apologies properly to the grounds staff I
actually owe them to.
But c'est la vie. We move on. |
And there you have it. Edit: so yes, more news from narcissism row. And Le Orme are really quite special, I've realised. At least, Uomo Di Pezza is: sing-song classical prog... weird stuff.

I've never liked Dream Theater, so it has nothing whatsoever to do with my avant-prog ears. I still enjoy stuff like Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule and original Fleetwood Mac. I also like Dylan and Neil Young.
Some stuff has got less interesting with my new ears though, like PoS and Ayreon albums.

Sweden is expensive and has a Conservative government, I think. Did they not used to have a Socialist one? However, they have a lot of one wonderful bands but also have one of the worst as well (Evergrey). Gah! I feel sorry for Evergrey, they give Sweden a bad name musically.

Sweden has a Liberal government right now. Our only pseudo-conservative party, in a traditional sense, is the Christian Democrats. Currently around 4%.

Oh, I have a friend who goes to Sweden sometimes to visit his old room mate.
He was telling me that Linköping and Norköping are not pronounced as they're spelt but have a Sch. sound. So Linschoping and Norschoping.
Is this correct?

I'd move to Sweden above all other Scandinavian countries. Although Danmark would be quite nice, I suspect.

I guess so, yes. Linschoeping and Norrschoeping. With a soft, non-German -sch sound  . As in shoot.
