^ Nothing to see Ian - it was only a rating.

In many cases, we have clauses saying "do not publish before the release date" or a given date. With good reasons !! If I review the Magna Charta album by The Firebrand Preachers three weeks before it's release date; the review and the shipping of that album is waste of time/money because the punter (YOU !!) would had forgotten all about it when the album is being published. If the review is published on the day before the release date or on the same day; the review and the efforts by the record label is not wasted. |

Although to be fair, some people do get them early, legit.
My friend got the new Dream Theater album like weeks ago, NOT through downloading. But if it is the rule that you can't post reviews before the album is released then so be it. |

Hello
I thought I might get some flak for my low rating and review of "Breakfast in America", but the long time reviewers here understand the posting etiquette. This relative newbie apparently does not.
It's a minor point but it does refer to the last review (clearly mine) as "which is v i r t u a l l y out of reality", and alludes to my inability to appreciate the album as being like the fox with the sour grapes. Edited by kenethlevine - June 22 2009 at 11:13 |

Wouldn't go that far. He does say that the all the songs except the last 2 are awful. Maybe not a great review, but it's a review nonetheless, well IMO of course. If that were to be deleted, another thousands of reviews were to be deleted as well. |

That is a very valid, though thin, review. The guy clearly states he's a significant fan of the band, knows their material, has listened to the album fully, and then renders his opinion. He doesn't do much to back it up but it's certainly valid.
BTW, I haven't heard that album so I have no idea whether I agree with the guy or not.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

^ Fair enough, I just thought there was not enough ''evidence'' in order to give a rating...

Well, I'm sure it's a very good review:

Man I feel bad, the guy obviously spent some time and effort on that. My spanish isn't quite good enough to get it all, but what I gather is intelligently put together.

Damn you stole my thunder! I was gonna report the Spanish BC&SL review.
I do kinda feel bad for the guy, though. That's one hell of a review! |

Leave the freakin` thing there . I thought the same. Must be a helluva review. Surely there are enough Spanish speakers here. Translate the bloody thing! I do things like this all the time for people who can`t speak French. I could understand removing it if the guy wrote it in Klingon.

There must have been a hell of a rush to report this one, but I feel for him as well. He has obviously taken a huge amount of time and energy to write a comprehensive review of a band & album he clearly loves. Oh well |
