Last Saturday I got:
Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells (all I can say is very good but weird!) on vinyl.
Genesis - Trespass (good album bought on impulse) on vinyl.
Also downloaded Easy Seats - Secrets About September but not had chance to listen to it yet.
Yesterday in the post I received:
Nektar - Tab In The Ocean (fantastic album!) on lovely heavy vinyl!

^ I was looking into that, then I found Hot Rats cheap, got Waka/Jawaka not long after, and finally bought Grand Wazoo today.

Neil Young Is a Gift to a good friend of mine for all the help he has given me. He is a Cabinet Maker by trade and after the last party we had,he was helping me move a table back into my garage the next day when I tripped on the chest of records and he laughed and said " I'll make you a cupboard to put them all in" it came with doors and on legs very nice. I just have to whack some varnish on and Bob's your uncle. This same friend over years has helped me when I fully redid the house, Bathroom, kitchen, floors.plastering and last but not least all the bloody painting and throughout this he shelved my lounge for all those cds and installed draws in my daughters built in wardrobe. He even built me the dogs kennel. I do not ask on most occasions. He just offers and he will not except payment and I can not keep buying beer all the time for him and he is a huge Neil fan and I know that he only has the 2 of the discs on the set which are the last 2 live archive releases. So this is what he is getting delivered so he cannot refuse.
As for the set it self I will not be getting it as there is only a about a disc and a half of material I do not have and even though the early albums like After the Gold Rush and Everybody Knows this is Nowhere are remastered enough is enough.

I just subscribed to eMusic, and boy did the tracks for the first month fly by...80 in total, though I got a nice chunk of albums:
Magma: Hhai, Reims 1976 Sigur Ros: Agaetis Byrjun Van der Graaf Generator: Real Time Amon Duul II: Tanz der Lemminge (though I'm annoyed, one track wasn't available ) Return to Forever: Returns Alamaailman Vasarat: Huuro Kolkko Goblin: Roller and Gowen/Miller/Sinclair/Tomkins: Before a Word is Said So...a little over 13 hours worth of music for a tiny price, I'm happy. |

I finally got Khan on mp3 last week and have played it once a day since. Even better than I remembered it from all those years ago Edited by el dingo - June 22 2009 at 17:22 |

It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.
