Xander, I cannot find the Prog Quiz main page with the scores on... it's not on the Highlights down the side as usual.

Okay, so you mean: you can take the quiz but you can't see the scores while you take it? Hmmm... that's odd. Not sure what to tell you there, it may just be a temporary glitch.
|
No no, not that. I meant the page where we you have the overall scores and scores per round. I've found it now though, so don't worry.

I'm happy with that score although I somehow changed my mind on one question and wish I hadn't.
I was beating David at one point too... grrr!

Beating his glitched score or his actual score?

And the questions I was expecting to come up, didn't. You sneaky so and so. No questions about AA Suite. No questions about when Rudess joined No questions about how Sherinian was sacked No questions about their previous name No questions about their 7 album deal on Elektra and/or East/West No questions about Roadrunner Records No questions about Nightmare Cinema No questions about their formation at Berklee No questions about Dominici No questions about their live cover albums No questions about their tribute to Dimebag Darrel No questions about their performance of Jacob's Ladder I'm quite frankly disappointed.

It is like the complete opposite of Free Jazz, but I like well-done beautiful minimalism just as much as I can like well-done chaos. |
Well I don't.

Also. no questions about their logo.
However, I did know how they got their name, that note and I did read about G3 but forgot the answer...

I could have made questions about any of those things, and I actually thought about using 5 or 6 of them---but then I scrapped them. I could have easily made it a 30 or 40-question quiz. 20 isn't THAT many. I didn't want to make it too predictable either, now that several of you guys are studying.

Yes but the inside-leg measurement of Chris Collins? Oh come on! Actually, I guessed that Myung one correctly. I didn't even think to look up Rudess... I knew he wasn't at Berklee though. Hence why I actually went for Berklee.

I'm slightly annoyed I didn't get a few more correct. Especially one which I almost clicked the right answer but changed my mind at the last moment.

I've realistically gained one place, I think. Was I not 10th at the beginning of this quiz?

Cool. I'm slowly going up the table. David is my next target but as I know what the next subject matter is, I'm going to fail in going ahead of him.
I'll go down to 9th once Chris/Syz plays this quiz. He will surely get over 100 or so.

Only 4 people still have to take it: Chris, my dad, Jesse, and Danny. Only two that are any competition to you at all are Chris and my dad, for now anyway. Once quiz 9 passes, you might also fair better overall, since that's a bump in the road.

As long as I get about 11 or 12 on average, with maybe a few 15s thrown in, I may slowly go up the table.
However, I need a high-score. I have an idea what the next quiz will be about. However, I find it best to cram the research in before I do the quiz. If I start researching for it now, I'll soon forget it.

Yeah, that should work. That makes sense. I wouldn't start researching until before the quiz unless you're genuinely interested in the sub-genre/band. And that's only speculation, since I haven't explicitly said what quiz 9 is yet.
