We've been using the term cartoon loosely around here. Haven't watched Letterman in a while. I blame Paul Schaffer. Good one though, thanks for sharing.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

It was in a Minnesota paper originally. I went through the Dispatch web site collection and was puzzled I couldn't find it, then I Googled for it and found several links that had it.

Most likely that he does multiple toons, some for the Post Dispatch others for National consumption.
