Holdsworth is the best,  so I'm not voting. After that, I would say Hackett, then Fripp, then Howe. All these guys are damn good and much better than I will ever be. Besides, who says only one has to be the best? There's some widely divergent styles among these players, and all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Fripp is the most creative on the list, by very far....It's a question of taste but the man simply took the fretboard and propelled it into the future.
