LOL

Where do you find these? I remember what episode they're all from, but is there a site that has a bunch of clips?

A teenaged American tourist says he spent two hours clinging to the side of a long-distance train as it sped across the Australian outback in the night.

I haven't listened to them in a while, but I used to all the time. I should again soon.

Hooray, we're now internationally represented by a candidate from a party that refuses to allow non-white members...

Good idea, anyone?

Alarmingly, I know someone who did that for a joke, and I can't say that party is something short of crazy, crazy people... I partly blame the weird PR/regional system we have in play, and I think that it's partly the idiot 'oh, expenses!!!!1111' type votes that seem to pervade everything. Plus the idiots who blame immigration for everything... Raff, I assume you're not particularly keen on the Italian results (if I've interpreted what I've seen properly... Berlusconi still, astoundingly, appears to be going from strength to strength?)

No, from what I've seen so far, he's lost a couple of points, and definitely didn't have the breakthrough he was waiting for (like, 43%). The thing is, the opposition is still not strong enough, and what's worse is that all the scandals of the last few weeks seem not to have influenced anyone - unless it was to keep them away from the voting stations.

Anyway, as much as I understand that voting is a right and not a duty (though in some countries, like Brazil, it is mandatory), people who have this right and choose not to use it should remember those who died in order for us to be able to vote freely... In Italy it was less than 70 years agoCry.

Ah right, I saw a +4 so assumed it was an up... maybe it's just that the smaller parties have lost seats. Never sure exactly what the BBC are representing with other countries' election systems, though I understand the British one quite well. I agree that the not voting thing is pretty sad, as is the sheer disinterest of some voters... a lot of people just seem to ignore their own views and vote against things they don't like as they've been reported by the media... ah well, one day, I hope, I can be a part of changing something about this.
