I am not much a fan of the show, either. I just kind of enjoy the cynicism the good doctor displays.

By the way, Death is awesome.

I have returned.  Almost a whole 24 hours without being online and only 2-pages have progressed in my absence.

As for me, I have been teenager-sitting tonight. LOL

Yet it was the teenagers idea, as she didn't feel well after having an operation on Tuesday.  So I had to pick her up.  Her mother was out 'til late and was expecting her daughter to be at her mates house.  She was cool though when she got in.

My mate didn't want to go to bed in a house on her own, so we sat up and watched:

Half of Scream (such a terrible movie; it amuses me how the parody Scary Movie is actually a better film)
Half of the remake of Village of the Damned
Half of Jaws.

So not a whole film but I've seen Jaws many times and I recognised bits of Village of the Damned too, so I must have seen that before.

My wireless connection terrible.  It stays connected for about a minute and then decides to stop working at inconvenient times.  To be fair, I think it''s my ISP (the sever is upstairs).  I may reset the box tomorrow and see if that helps.

So if I'm not around, it's due to a rubbish ISP.

HP, I knew a LeVey Satanist once.  You wouldn't know she was one though.  I only knew because someone told me.

She seemed cool enough but apparently she was quite selfish, which I understand is something to do with it.

You, Lawful Evil? LOL

I want to be Chaotic Good.  I'll try it later when my Internet is working better and see what I am.

  LaVey is an interesting character.
He seemed to be making fun of the people believing in his sh*t and just running with it.

I'm really really pissed-off with this wireless connection.  The router is in my parents bedroom, so I have to wait for them to get up before I reset it.  I'm hoping that is the cause of my connection issues.

If not, I may not be about as much.

Great.
Except the way it ended was piss-poor.

Now Alex and I can finally discuss the finale. LOL (j/k)

Don't think "anti" fits.

It does.

That's what the Lost Wiki calls him.

I consider it a bad name.

Anti means "opposite of", "against", etc. So a spirit incarnating in the dead body of Locke isn't his opposite or such. The relation of opposing or being opponents doesn't match either. Maybe they're thinking "antagonist", as in the (arguably) good character Locke now turning into a bad one, but that's still no argument for the "anti" use.

I myself would prefer "alter", if anything; then again, I really don't care much.

I remember that, on Lostpedia, the spirit that incarnated into Locke was also called "Jacob's enemy", in relation with that character.

Since when did you started talking about Lost anyway? LOL

Yes but isn't it ultimately likely to be multiple Locke's anyhow?  I mean, 2 have died (or so it seems) and they're bad Locke's, as far as I'm aware.  That means good Locke is likely still about.

But then I don't watch it, so I have no idea. LOL

I didn't understand a large part of what you said above. LOL

Multiple Locke? Except time travelling that almost cause characters to meet with themselves, that's a Lost clique still to be baked. Tongue

Locke has died, off the island, and upon returning to the island - the other survivors brought him in a coffin - he seemingly revived, only to be discovered, in the finale, that a spirit has embodied into him in order to get laid and find his lost Golden Retriever dog called Vincent.

I've been saying VdGG are the best band ever for years but having now re-heard Man-Erg, The Sleepwalkers and Lost again for the first time in quite some time, I can now increase the gap between them and the second band/artist.

They just astound me more and more; even now. Even familiar tracks I've known for years.  I still hear new things in them.

Some elements I find wonderful about them:

1. Hammill's vocals, lyrics and piano playing -- it's not just about the pitch and emotion of his voice either, it's the way he phrases and pauses too
2. The way Banton, Jaxon and Evans blend together seamlessly and fit Hammill's vocalisation brilliantly.  Like the end of The Sleepwalkers for example.
3. The brilliance of Banton's playing; it's subtle yet virtuoistic at the same time
4. The way that they never waste a note -- no needless jamming or pointless ELPisms
5. And when they do go off on an instrumental virtuoistic moment, it's usually the whole band seamlessly bleanding together again.  No one person dominates.  Not even Jaxon's squonky sax

Well, it is VDGG, what did you expect? Although, I'd say Death is the VDGG of tech prog.
