Yes.

I really need to write some reviews so I can get in on this drama action.
I am really sick of The God Who Wasn't There ads. YEAH I'M SURE THAT JESUS NEVER EXISTED THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE! | Ditto. Morons.

I'm ok with people not being Christians, but come on now.
Baldur's Gate frightens me. I intend to play it for just an hour or so and then when I check the time it's been five.

Why, cause it won't stop there?
| It's not that...if my wife smells beer on my breath, she will assume I have been drinking all day, and I just don't care for the headache.

To be fair, though, it's not like in the past I haven't given her enough reason to think so.

You haven't given us any reason to think otherwise either.

I had a pretty bad time of it in college - it was threatening to be a wee bit too dependent part of my day - so there's always been a wariness after that . Which, as you said, is probably understandable, but it can still be a little grating.

| In college (we were married at the time, and had a home, mind you), I would take my classes in the morning, come home around noon, and drink gin and tonics all afternoon. I'd be piss drunk by 3, and passed out by 6.
On days I had to pick my wife up from work, that situation was less than ideal. And it happened twice, not once.

My friends did a mini-intervention on her behalf - it is not fun being on either end of that sort of thing, I'll tell you that.

| My first novel I wrote uses that as a metaphor for the degradation of American education. I haven't looked at that book in years, partially because it's too painful to go back through. But I'll get around to it soon enough.
I used to have a footlocker full of spirits of every kind. One morning (one head-pounding morning) I poured it all down the drain. Now I am happy to indulge in beer; I rarely take any other kind of drink. It's safer that way, and I prefer beer to it all anyway.

I've never had problems with drink, mainly due to the fact that one glass of wine is enough to make me tipsy (which inevitably means sleepy), unless I have eaten a great deal of food while drinking. However, someone very close to me (no names mentioned) did when he was younger (he's spoken about it quite often here). I suppose I'm just a very boring person... Don't drink, don't smoke, never done drugs. My musical tastes seem to be my main oddity!

Should have sold it on eBay. | I might have had it all drunk before the auction was over.

I'm sure I have spent too much time on BG II... I know the layout of the opening dungeon down to the traps on boxes... it worries me muchly. BG I... not so much, but still more than enough.

| Gee, Raff- you're going to feel stupid lying in the hospital dying of nothing.
Anyway, my wife had half a bottle of Bacardi Silver once at a friend's house, and she was rolling all over the floor laughing about blow jobs.

^^ Oh my My wife ain't no teetotaller, that's for sure....but she definitely helped teach me appropriate limits - plus with age it's hard to really take down that much anymore; I can't do hangovers anymore, the recovery time is just too much. I can't remember the last time I had one.
