http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090525/ap_on_re_us/us_economic_survivalists
Emergency supply retailers and military surplus stores nationwide have seen business boom in the past few months as an increasing number of Americans spooked by the economy rush to stock up on gear that was once the domain of hardcore survivalists.

Actually, housework is better for my mood... Just ran across one of the usual posts by someone who doesn't miss any opportunity to say how sad and humourless we are, but still posts here every dayDead. And don't let me comment on the whole Andalusian Prog débacle...

I was on the verge of leaving again, especially after the totally heartless, tasteless comparison between RPI and a cancerous growth. Such comparisons should never be used, not even in jestDead. This place is becoming worse and worse, and no one seems to care.

No, those will stay, mark my words. They're not going to break their hold on the site, even if they visit once a week, or once a month. You know, I've tried to leave countless times, and always come back... However, there will be a time when the site will just 'fall off my heart' (as my dad used to say), and then there will be no way back. I'm waiting for this to happen, even if it will make some people very happy.

Raff's signature has answered the lifelong question "Why did the chicken cross the road?"  Because there was a cat on the sidewalk that wouldn't let him continue on his original side of the road so he had to cross to continue on to wherever it was that he was heading.

Has there been a storm in the Collabs zone again or am I just blind not finding anything out of ordinary? Or maybe I'm used to the bad state of things presently and I just don't notice...

Cookin's done, now it's eatin' time.
