I love the sheer heaviness of it! Embedding the moss reminds me of Drought, and the other two remind me of angrier, heavier songs off of City of echoes.
So, I got myself a ticket to the Wolves in the Throne room show next weekend! I've never been to a full fledged black metal show, so I expect some extreme darkness and chaos!

Yeah I figured, but I expect a little creepier setting and mood... I doubt the show will be anything below awesome though!

I this album, exactly what i was searching for, Black Metal, Post Rock, Ambient , Post Metal all fused in one , and also funeral /drone doom moments on Through The Collapse: Watchers Restrained. after listening of first 2 songs Earth: As A Furnace , Earth: As A Furnace i was astonished , what an atmosphere , blew me away totaly.. extreme.. powerful .. and first band that cross my mind is the similarity with Wolves in The Throne room, also hints of Agalloch can be heard, Darkestrah traces also, Post - Black at it's best

^ Checking them out now! Soooo... I saw Mouth of the architect last night Besides the distorted delayed guitars muddying up the mix, the show was pretty crazy brutal!!!!!!!!!!! They played a beautiful corpse, which was one of the heavier things I've seen live.
Jake, I got the limited edition of Two Hunters on vinyl, didnt you say you got that?

i ve listen some intersting stuf recenty , first to mention Hand Of Fatima - Obake, very good album, post metal similar in sound to Long Distance Calling - Avoid The Light, excellent . and someone i forgot who here recomend me Heaven In Her Arms - 黒斑の侵蝕 (Erosion of the Black Speckle) now i found time to listen it and i was surprised how good it is , this screamo rocks hard , i like it . i listened Tombs - Winter Hours it is very very good album, post metal /sludge awesome . All Angels Gone - Quietly nice post rock , And So I Watch You From Afar - And So I Watch You From Afar this is superb post rock, one of the best post rock albums i've heard recently , The Gathering - The West Pole i was disapointed by new album, too bleak , too borring, lack of ideas i guess,

...and just to put this out there I've been listening to Tesa's 3 albums "Nekad," "Tagad" and "heartbeatsfromthesky" like every other day for last couple of weeks... They have "Nekad" and "Tagad" available on their official website for free download...

If you havnt heard the new Maudlin of the Well, its a masterpiece. The new Isis is also pretty amazing. I highly recommend both. For some new post rock, check out Efterklang's newish album Parodies if you havnt heard it yet. |

Simalar to Sigur Ros, but they are a little more uplifting, and their instrumentation is even more diverse. They dont have one singer, but a chorus of like four or five. Its really amazing music.
