A pub near me called The Fat Cat (it would be called that, I guess) sells a selection of Belgian fruit beers that are around eight per cent each, about $4 a pint and totally addictively gorgeous.
 
And they have a green-pigmented lager called Signs of Spring that looks like wash-up liquid but tastes fantastic.
 
Trouble is I'm broke so I sit indoors and drink WalMart/ASDA cider which is around $1 for 2 litres.
 
Two of the above three statements are trueWink
It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

^The first must be false then. Most (maybe all) Belgian fruit beers have 5 to 6 per cent alcohol by volume.
 
Only Liefmans Goudenband (I wonder if this is a fruit beer, but it is, like fruit beers, a spontaneous fermenting beer) reaches 8%.

Corona Uhh!!Shocked I hate this kind of beer, taste like water with lemon...
I prefer a dark strong beer with triple fermention. No specific label in mind. But mostly the belgium type of beer.

Not a big fan. I prefer a pilsener for spicy food or a sunny pre-barbecue drink, but sure, it's ok for those situations.

It's not too bad....

though I find I have no beer loyalty.  In fact, if something tastes good one week, it doesn't taste as good the next.  I really have to keep changing it up, I can't drink the same beer for very long

....and it makes going to the store fun because I get to pick something different every time.

Wow, I've actually never tried a Coors if you can believe that.  I'll add it to the internal list.  Well maybe I have had one back in the young days and just don't remember.  Back then you just drank whatever the guys brought.

I do not mind it. As Padraic said, a nice summer beer, but if you are into this type of beer I'd take a Pacifico any day of the week. In Mexico (in the city I was staying earlier this year) Corona was pretty much just the standard run of the mill beer, nothing special.

I agree - for some crazy reason I often choose it in Spain but can't really enjoy it in England

Generally I'm sure you're right - I'm no expert - but the raspberry one and the peach one really are 7.5 abv.

Technically Newki Broon (as we call it in the UK) is hard to define - it's like a cross between an ale and a sweet stout but it's also fizzy and has a totally unique taste.
 
Geordies (natives of Newcastle) call it "Journey Into Space" and if you drink more than about four of them you'll know what they mean.
 
I really dunno if it's exported, but there's another one called Newcastle Amber Ale - if you get a chance try it.
