I'd probably give it a solid 3, but that is because it isn't a progressive album and therefore wouldn't really be a prog rock masterpiece or an excellent addition to a prog collection.

There's plenty of pop content, sure...but man, "Then," "Astral Traveler" and "The Prophet" are almost proto-prog masterpieces (if you think about it).

The first two Yes albums would both get a 3 from me.  Very enjoyable.

My ratings were 3 and 4 respectively.

It's a shame that on their Tsongas DVD, of ALL the songs they had, they chose "Every Little Thing."

I would love to hear "Survival" done live.

That's their best early song, IMO.

Machine-Gun reviewer Zowie-Ziggy is going to push my review right off the front page.  Ouch

Tsongas DVD, lol!

Constantly makes me think of tennis player Jo-Wilfred Tsonga.

LOL

When I saw In The Present play last November they played Astral Traveller 1 1/2 times.  They got about 1/2 way through it when they stopped because Oliver Wakeman blew a fuse or something.  So we got a bonus Steve Howe instrumental and then they played Astral Traveller again from the beginning.

I had a good day at the brick and mortar CD store yesterday.  As always I spent too much money, but Pat's wife won't get mad at me for it, so I guess I am OK, and fortunately, I don't have to buy any women's shoes in order to even the playing field, so to speak.

Did you all download your free maudlin of the Well album?

I did.

I don't even know what the hell they sound like.

I like Kayo Dot pretty okay though.  Big smile

God I hate that sh*t.

My woman tried to pull that sh*t on me when it came to beer.  You know what the hell I said to HER?

Not yet.  I'll probably do that over the weekend.  I didn't really care for Kayo Dot and I don't think that Maudlin of the Well will be my thing based on samples I listened to a couple of years ago, but free is free.

I just finished downloading motW's new album. I was excited to find out about it. I quite enjoy their work. And Kayo Dot is brilliant.

By the by dear Epi, what must I do again to collect my monthly reward/s?

Did you see my post in the What Are You Listening to Now? thread above the new Jethro Tull Aqualung picture?  I am listening to Organissimo, a funky jazz band that features the Hammond Organ.  They have a free concert that you can download on their website.  http://www.organissimo.org/media.htm   (reposted for the heck of it).  I posted this a few months ago when I discovered them.  I think they are quite good, and just want to share with my PA brethren.
