The Bullet - What can I say?
We all have that hereditary condition - it's called your-mouth-is-bigger-than-your-bottyhole; most of us manage this condition perfectly well.

The solution is quite simple.
The state should continue to pay their housing benefit, and assist with their utilities bills, but withdraw everything else. They should be issued with food stamps, exchangable only for food, not booze, fags etc. These stamps will allow them a weekly personal calorie allowance. The weight would fall off them. They could then be forced into work when they reach a certain weight. If they refuse to work they should be threatened with losing their house, and possibly going to prison. Hereditary condition, my arse! Lazy sponging b&stards! |

..oh, and basic fruit and veg is NOT expensive. That is bullsh!t!!
One thing you'll notice, is that 'large' peoples trollies are always full of expensive confectionary, fizzy drinks, cakes and pies. You wont see anything 'green' beyond 'Viscount' biscuits. They always use the excuse that it's too expensive. It's not, and the rest of us KNOW it's not. |

WARNING: This just might be not safe for work.
The depths some people will plunge to to prove that green is red - in this case that the Holocaust never happened: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=230290 This is a discussion on the topic with someone called Gojira. It's quite long and I advise you not to try to make sense of his posts - you'll just end up losing bags of IQ points. |

As well as offensive, Holocaust denial is pointless and pathetic. This is not something that 'allegedly' happened thousands of years ago, the evidence of which has been excavated in archeological digs. This is something that happened in the 20th century, and the tools, and a number of those involved, including survivors are still here to tell us about it.
Holocaust deniars are Nazi sympathisers and blatant anti-semites. While many folk, myself included, remain critical of Israel, in terms of the actions and decisons made by its leaders, to deny the holocaust is repulsive and profoundly ill informed. |

Paraphrasing the Macc Lads (to the tune of Blockbuster by The Sweet):
They'll tell you lies
They'll eat your pies
You wouldn't believe those
Fat s size...
Has anyone seen them eat?
They've never seen their feet
The fat s!

Tell it to that guy, Blacksword.
I have a deep urge to troll that thread. But seeing that many people there have taken the time to dismantle his 'arguments' over and over and over again, I feel I would somehow be making light of their efforts as well. Edited by Visitor13 - March 19 2009 at 05:36 |

Not even the leader of Iran denies the Holocaust happened, only the extent of it. To deny the Holocaust happened is to look at pictures and films and say that didn't happen, which it to live in unreality. Not that I care one way or another, I recently heard someone say that he believes 3-4 million Jews died in the Holocaust, not 6 million. A claim like this is NOT outright craziness, especially when supported by facts (it wasn't, but I imagine you can find "facts" for just about anything you want to support nowadays). If anyone would dismiss such a notion without investigating it because it's not-PC to ask questions about some things in our society, they are giving in to being slaves of popular opinion. |

When I was a Civil Servant expenses claims were so heavily scrutinised you could get raked over the coals for being a few miles out in calculating mileage allowance. At one point it became so arduous making a claim that many of us couldn't be bothered with the hassle over a couple of measly pounds. These bds aren't fiddling a few quid here and there - they are augmenting their salaries to the tune of several thousand pounds a year - that's not "a simple mistake"; it's not even just "dishonest" but is criminal theft on a grand scale. It's about time we clamped down on "white collar" crime properly. I'd say bring back Penal Transportation, but the sneaky gits would claim travel expenses and hard lying allowance for that too.

Mr Chawner said: "What we get barely covers the bills and puts food on
the table. It's not our fault we can't work. We deserve more."
I'm almost beyond a rant; just speechless really at this attitude. If I were a British citizen I'd be foaming at the mouth. |

UK MPs get £64K a year ($98K) this is before you work out their various allowances, including £100K/year for "staff" (which generally means Mrs MP doing a bit of filing and MP jnr licking stamps), another £3K if they have to work in London (hmm, where are the Houses of Parliament again?) £22K incidental expense allowance, £5K IT equipment allowance, £24K additional costs allowance, £40K winding-up allowance (whatever the flump that is), £10.4K communications allowance and 40p/mile mileage allowance (lets assume 10,000 miles per annum or £4K) ... making a grand total of £272,400 (...about $400K - which I understand is roughly what the US gov pays Mr Obama)
... it must be bloody tough for them.
the average UK salary is £27K ($41K) ... of course that "average" is grossly skewed with the majority earning less than that.
