I haven't seen it yet. I may though, because it sounds like it's pretty good. I'm not much of a movie person, however. |

James, I heard about how Koenjihyakkei remastered Nivraym. Do you know what makes it different from the original?

I never really got upset, so don't worry. I didn't mean to start a debate either; sometimes they just explode out of people disagreeing with each other. |

But I still didn't contradict myself. I said that your post re: tell the synth team they should be moved was a silly notion. And I actually said the same thing in both posts. They have jazzy moments. That's fact (in my opinion ). They're not a jazz rock/fusion band and never will be. The use of the word "often" only means that they have jazz rock moments. It doesn't suggest they're a jazz rock/fusion band. |

I'm not much of a movie person either, and yet I think everyone I know should go see it. That should tell you something. So yeah, I'd.......go see it if I were you. |

Crap. With this posting, I didn't get to put another Schulze CD in.
Not sure if I should start one now though. I may be eating soon. |

Erm, I do know but I've forgotten. I think Yoshi re-recorded the drums on it and maybe the vocals. |

Yeah, they do have jazz moments, particularly on Relayer. Though I think alot of prog takes in from Jazz and Classical music the most, with endless other influences as well. I just think those are the 2 big influences. And then, of course, rock is the main root. |

From Wikipedia, the worlds most reliable and accurate source of correct information:
The album was released in the USA in 2008 by the American record label Skin Graft Records in a new version where drummer and founding member Tatsuya Yoshida has re-recorded the drums and remixed the entire album. |

Yeah, Nivraym was just recently remastered... like within the last month or so, perhaps? That's what I think anyway. |

From another thread:
Previously available only in Japan, Nivraym has been extensively rebuilt for this 2009 worldwide release. The band has gone back to the original master recordings and the current line-up has added new flourishes, additional overdubs, re-recorded drum tracks and the entire album has been remixed and remastered at Japan's Magaibutsu Studios. Damn, I need this. I have the original. |
