Grizzly and Panda weren't enough?

I've seen Polar Bear live.  An awesome jazz band.

It's not a bad thing, if you get into the good metal.

There's an instrumental version? Did PT actually release that or did someone else just make it instrumental?

No idea.  Max mentioned it on Facebook.  I'll check.

Okay, thanks!

That actually sounds really interesting. I may have to hear that for curiosity's sake.

Blackdance is awesome, Vic!

I'll have to hear the whole thing before I decide how good it is in comparison to Mirage though. But I can see myself listening to Schulze for a while now. Probably not non-stop, but at least pretty often for a substantial amount of time.

That's the one.

He's really cool and Polar Bear's music is great.  He also is the leader of Acoustic Ladyland who I've yet to check out.

That sucks. Ouch

I had a problem with iTunes the other day that was persistent as hell. It would stop in the middle of my CDs and freeze my computer. I had to restart a good 3 times or so to get rid of it. Confused

At least it works fine now.

That is such a cool name for a band... Smile

edit: looked up their myspace page, and they sound pretty cool. Don't fit today's mood though.

King Khan and the Shrines... Smile

Why does Anesthetize sound like Radiohead?

Confused

I don't think they sound alike at all. Which part are you thinking, the ending?

The beginning.  The keyboards remind me of something from O.K. Computer.

By the way, which parts are Fripp and Lifeson on?

Hmmm... I don't know. I think Anesthetize as a whole is a completely different musical beast than any of Radiohead.

The keyboards though, I can see how you thought of that. I don't agree that they're similar, but if anything is remotely close---it would be that. Because the drums aren't close at all, neither is the style, and I wouldn't say Wilson sounds similar to Yorke at all either.

Lifeson is the guitar part roughly 4 minutes into Anesthetize: the solo for about a minute.

Fripp provides some sparse soundscapes in a later track (I think Way Out of Here) and he also does guitar on the cut that didn't make the album, Nil Recurring (the song).

For some reason, I found nothing about FOABP interesting at all. It's not really offensive, though the lyrics/vocals/concept are an unusually bad effort to be relevant, just there is not a moment of it that stands out as good. My Ashes and the title track I can remember, but I don't actually like either of them.
