I don't know how anyone had the patience for all that tape splicing.

Me either.

Bands like TD and Can definitely had persistence.

Temporarily. LOL

What's better: My obsessive talking of Rush, TD, or HC? (Add in Coltrane or Animal Collective maybe too) Wink

Can we have a none of the above option?

Well while I sympathize with Coltrane and HC approximately equally, HC was much longer since everyone was talking about the box set then, so I would say Coltrane.

Peter Hammill has far too many solo albums. Nobody should have that many albums.

Yes, Coltrane.

'cause I actually need more of his stuff myself.  Actually, I don't own any of his stuff.  I did once rip a copy of my brother's Coltrane but it's not on my computer... weird.

I think Zappa has him beat though.

Wakeman, Zappa and Schulze have more.  TD have a stupid amount too.

Hammill isn't that excessive compared to them.

You need these minimum:

A Love Supreme, My Favorite Things, Giant Steps, Blue Train, Coltrane's Sound, First Meditations, Om.

I think Neil Young comes close.  He seems to release a new one every 6 months or so, as does Van Morrison. LOL

I haven't heard Om and I'm willing to admit it may have been unfairly malinged, but Ascension is still surely more essential than it.

You all broke Keppa's heart by not responding to his post. You should all be ashamed of yourself.
Rise Against is a cool band and you all ignore him.
