Well while I sympathize with Coltrane and HC approximately equally, HC was much longer since everyone was talking about the box set then, so I would say Coltrane.
Peter Hammill has far too many solo albums. Nobody should have that many albums.

'cause I actually need more of his stuff myself. Actually, I don't own any of his stuff. I did once rip a copy of my brother's Coltrane but it's not on my computer... weird.

Wakeman, Zappa and Schulze have more. TD have a stupid amount too. Hammill isn't that excessive compared to them.

You need these minimum: A Love Supreme, My Favorite Things, Giant Steps, Blue Train, Coltrane's Sound, First Meditations, Om.

I think Neil Young comes close. He seems to release a new one every 6 months or so, as does Van Morrison.
