That's it.  I guess I thought that they were from Norway because of the Norwegian black metal scene.

mmm. black metal. Now, if only most black metal didn't suck. Maybe I am biased because of all the lame myspace underground black metal bands I have tortured myself with out of boredom.

I am being pre-judgemental, but I just remember that they scared me when they got their 1 minute of fame over here when their winning was announced on local news outlets or entertainment outlets, or whatever it was.

Mmmm

Chilled.  Very Jean-Michel Jarre like but with some obvious Daft Punkisms.

By the way, for anyone who cares, I've had a tepid wail day.

On the new Star Trek movie. If you haven't seen it already. Go. See. It. Now. I thought it was just going to be a whole bunch of special effects and action-packed w**kery. But it actually does have some really good dialogue and really gets in depth with the concept of alternate realities.

And what exactly do you mean by tepid wail, James?

I'd rather watch my toenails grow.

Not quite epic win fail.

Win fail = wail

I was walking from my car to the pub and a lovely lass complimented me on my looks.  Win.
I went all coy and shy and said thanks and asked her where she was going.  Fail.
I was on the winning quiz team and won £4.  Win.

It is tough.

But TD is probably the 3rd best band ever.

Glad to hear you liked the movie, David. I may watch it; I don't know.

I started a thread last week wondering about the new Star Trek movie. I am more intrigued today than I was when I started the thread.  The movie has gotten some pretty good reviews too.  I guess it is all a matter of putting aside the prejudice of new actors playing old characters.

I haven't even seen any of the original Star Trek yet, so I don't have to worry about that.

What are everyone's thoughts on Creedence Clearwater Revival?

I know there basically the opposite of anything progressive; I haven't listened to them until recently and am really amazed at Cosmo's Factory...it seems like I might be going into another one of those phases when I listen to more 'traditional' rock music.
