Yes but he guessed them all.

I actually knew some of those answers. LOL

And he did very well in the first test!

And now I'm looking at a track listing for a  certain album and I'd have thought track Track 4 of Side 2 would have been the reference to a certain band, not the lyrics contained within Track 2 of Side 2.

I stayed sober last night.  No surprises there.  But I was out of the house at least.  Ended up watching a very odd film... Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Confused

Most of this morning I've been entertaining an almost 2-year old.  Gosh, it's fun!  Youngsters always seem far more tuned-in than us adults. LOL

She said bye to me about 50 times I think.  Apparently it's unusual for her to be so enamoured by someone.

I'm not sure whether to be thrilled or not.

Yeah, in many way, being a child is a definite peak.  Pure living, before inhibition and various obscurities kick in.  LOL

She was fascinated by the embossed lettering on a cover of a novel I am reading.  Although she cannot speak properly yet (she's at the stage where you she says certain recognisable words but cannot form structured sentences), she seemed to realise that the text on the front cover was the same as the embossed text on the inside front cover.

She can also differentiate between page numbers and main text.

She does what my mate's child does and asks "What's dat?".  Constantly!

I find it highly fascinating.

Yeah, the curiousity....and the total boundless energy is fascinating.  My nieces are the only little kids I've had around in the recent past, they are now moving into teenager territory which is a whole 'nother kind of fascinationLOL

Yet the baby's father apparently is a bit of knob.  Although he doesn't neglect little Ella, he's not exactly helping things.  My mate Leanne seems to have her constantly and when she asks him to babysit, he makes excuses.  She therefore never gets much time to herself.  He does see her every week though.  It just seems he doesn't really want the burden of a baby.  He's older than me too!  Also, apparently he's not like I was today with her... I was acting on the same level as a 2 year old in many respects.  Never raising my voice and making sure she was being listened to and not ignored.  Yes she was getting a little irrititable at times but she really wasn't as bad as I was expecting her to be.

Doing that full-time though would be different... I'm not sure if I am ready for that yet!

Every so often is fine by me though.  Get's me into practice for if I have any myself.

Oh, haha. Maybe he has good elimination/multiple choice skills. I don't know. LOL

You sound like you'll make a great dad.  Being able to relate to kids and speak  their language is a critical element.  Some people aren't cut out to be parents and unfortunately don't think about it before they have them, which leads to the neglect that is so prevalent.  You sound like the kind of guy who will be great at it!!

And before you ask, that Martin guy who did the quiz is someone I know.  I've not seen him for years though and I didn't know he liked Neo Prog. LOL

Indeed.

Alas, no woman wants me.  Therefore I doubt I'll have any children. Cry

I don't want to interfere with my friends who have children either, 'cause that's wrong.  I don't want them to think they're not doing their job properly.  Bringing up a child is not easy.  Having one does mature a lot of people though.

Leanne's wasn't planned, unfortunately.  She was with the guy for 3 years and they split up on Boxing Day.  She's a lovely lass though.  It's just a shame she doesn't get the full support she really needs.  She's poor and can barely buy clothes or feed herself.  Ella takes priority, of course.  Leanne is incredibly stubborn.  She won't let people buy her stuff, give her lifts or anything.  I like that in a way but it's also annoying.  I wish she'd sometimes let others help out more.

And I don't fully understand what Ella's trying to say, 'cause I've only seen her for the first time today.  The only things I could fully understand were:

What's dat?
Oh bugger (no idea where she picked that up from)
Oh No!
Will Explode (when she dropped the remote control on the floor LOL)
Maman (Mama)
Nanan (Nana)
Bye!

LOL

Sounds like she has a great friend in you.  Keep on helping her when she'll allow it....you'll be doing Ella tons of good in having a strong male presence in her life, if she's lacking that from Dad.  Clap

Hmm, I think the studio version of M.D.K. is flawed and I think Vander realised this too.  Both the Retrospektiw I-II and and the Trilogie Theusz Hamtaahk versions have similar intros.  Both really differ from the studio version and for the better, in my mind.  It's a conscious thing, I believe.

Why else would Vander remove that intro and change things about a bit?

I'll try... I've not known her long.  She has a tendency to fancy unsuitable men who have no clue about children. Confused  So if she finds a fella, it won't likely be me. Ouch  She has too many hang-ups right now.

She has to move back to Swindon first, really.  She's a 2-hour drive away at the moment.

I can't add him to the note/tournament unless he adds me as a friend first; FB won't let me.

I absolutely loved Blood Sugar Sex Magic when it came. It got hundreds of spins from me back then.  I have only listened to it a few times in recent years but it is still a cool album.

That's a song I used to listen to on a daily basis when I was young.

I used to watched MTV when I was young. Might I say, tons of decent pop back then.
