People remember Ugly Kid Joe? Shocked
"The past is not some static being, it is not a previous present, nor a present that has passed away; the past has its own dynamic being which is constantly renewed and renewing." - Claire Colebrook

Yep. Unfortunately so. Played on the radio far too much where i used to work. The only two Joes I rate are Strummer and SatrianiTongue
It's not that I can't find worth in anything, it's just that I can't find worth in enough.

How about:-

Swing Out Sister
Propaganda (German 80s pop/dance outfit)
Cabaret Voltaire
Nik Kershaw (honest, the albums are good!!)
Kajagoogoo (some pretty proggy stuff on that album, I mean it!!)

There you go, beat those!

I like Chaka Khan.  Also, I concur on Barry Manilow's "Copacabana".

I've been known to be partial to the odd bit of Bon Jovi Embarrassed (I may or not have most of their discography).

Some people would find my love of Toto embarrassing but they'd be wrong. Consummate musicians playing great popular music.

IIRC even a fellow member of my Progressive Metal Team has seen Slipknot live a few times, and likes that Mudvayne album.
Also, AFAIK, Jody (the Progtologist) himself is actually a professes fan of Slipknot, so I guess the fact two guys from the PMT itself liking the band helps you feel a bit better:P

I 'm not ashamed of anything I listen to but I have a tendency to 'hide' certain bands from my friends... I don't like any mainstream pop but I'm enjoying some Why? right now and earlier I was rocking out (slightly) to Interpol...

I've also been known to sing along to Journey and Boston when the mood takes me (i.e. when I'm drunk)

Sheena Easton.

There was also an easy listening orchestra, the 101 Strings. They did a "San Francisco"-themed album that I, being a resident then, had to check out. I'm talking original elevator music here. God help me, I love that piece o' cheese.
