new Manatees is not bad, i wouldn's say masterpiece , just ok . i was very thrilled with the first song The Sunclimber very good post metal/sludge experience it offers slowly progressing, acoustic parts add some ''tribal'' trip , calmness but at the same time very powerfull riffs , and then came Untitled track, and that song realy drove me crazy , some noise , drones that gettin on my nerves ,.. and till the end of the album i've heard many psychedelic parts, lots of drones, bunch of noise , but post metal feeling never disapeared , intense atmosphere is present all over the album, vocals are good, powerfull, acustic moments are also memorable element contribute to overal image .. not bad but not essential

I meant that it's like 10,000 days all over again for me regarding one of my fav. bands that inspired me to be a musician coming out with a new album that feels like a pop record compared to their previous album. |

Yeah, very good stuff, indeed. I was on RUBYCONE's show in Kiev a week ago, they're superb Modern-Prog/Math-Rock/Post-Metal band from Moldova, instrumental and technical as hell!!! Highly recommended - http://www.myspace.com/rubycone and http://www.last.fm/music/Rubycone. Their debut album released by MALS, and I want them here on PA! Aye, Posty Team, let's take 'em! Melikey |

Yeah the new Isis is really good, not a massive departure (not that I really expected or wanted that) but there is a subtle sense of progression. i like the way they've gotten more melodic over the last few albums. |

Yes, subtle progression indeed. I like it very much. And it seems that Aaron has improved his clean vocals quite a bit.
Also, I can't rank the Isis albums. Each is very good and my favorite constantly changes. The only one I'd rank lower than the rest is Celestial, and that's still a very good record.

I dont have Celestial, but plan on getting it, along with a legit copy of Oceanic.
So I'm seeing nine inch nails in two days, and exactly a week after that I'm seeing pelican with Isis!

You'll have to let me know how the NIN one goes. I can't really, because the closest gig for NIN/JA is 4 hours away and that's on a school day for me.
Sorry for interrupting the thread though...

Don't sweat it, any talk of NIN will be accepted as long as I'm a fan. I'm not gonna lie, I'm practically drooling I'm so stoked! I was never too into Janes Addiction, but the visual effects during Trants time will destroy my brain, and render me dead... then the Isis concert will come around!

Ha thats a really cool band name, I'll probably have to check them out.
Topofsm, The NIN show was ridiculous! Trent was going cazy, and the drummer for this tour was pretty excellent. They played almost every song off the downward spiral, including the Becoming which is my favorite Nails song EVER! Probably the second best show I've ever seen, you should definately try seeing them, cause this will be Trents last tour for a really long time.
BTW, even thoug Perry Farrel is a complete jerk, he did really well with JA.

Hell yeah! Jody, tell me when you get it so I can start my search.
So, with motivation from the new mausdlin album, I did my best to find software to DL again. Luckily I did, and I'm listening to the Evpatoria report's Maar right now. I'm very impressed, now I know what you guys are talking about when you say there's a "groove" to their music.
