I actually like him for his vaudeville/aesthetics
I'll expand more when it isn't 7 in the morning and I've slept. |

A little harsh... although one time I saw Alice Cooper, he described MM as his 'disobedient child', which I thought was fair comment. Not a huge MM fan, but have to say, the albums I have I really like & they still get pulled from the racks every now and again - probably seen as his "later work" which apparently therefore "sucks balls" (Hmmm ), but my favorite of his is 'The Golden Age Of Grotesque' (the whole album is akin to watching 'Cabaret' after drinking a bottle of absinthe - quite a ride). Brian's got my vote |

First, his music is for teenage dudes, nothing exciting only good for MTV and this kind of market. Second, he looks like David Bowie (aladdin sane era), and I mean bad and strange, I don't know if he's a dude or anything elese. Simply I don't like both music and how he looks. And above that is a bad vocalist, really.

Well, his lyrics are actually quite intelligent. I don't see his music as being for mtv consumption. I mean, three of his albums are rock operas/concept albums. And his poppiest material was part of the story he'd written. Sure, it is a thick and rebellious industrial metal at times, but he is a very diverse musician. And he has a good vocal range (even going into falsetto at times) But, that all doesn't mean you have to like him. |

....Hmmm not my style, kind of reminds me of the original bad boy EMO type character. You have to admire his success though as it has lasted longer than most. Now as far as his ex goes....he really messed that up letting her go

Whatever you think of the man's music, you cannot deny he has an artist's eye for imagery.
As I said earlier though - I think his music's OK too. |

Completely indifferent. I do actually have some in my collection in the form of a couple of tracks on the Lost Highway soundtrack. The interview Michael Moore did with him on Bowling For Columbine was rather interesting, though.
Now, NIN is a completely different matter... Edited by Slartibartfast - May 08 2009 at 20:09 |
