Hi Raff,  How was your first baseball game experience?  It seems as though you went to see Cardinals and instead got ducks.   I was at the Tigers' game on Sunday and saw that the game in Washington was rained out, so I am assuming that with the rain puddles came the ducks to play in them.

There was no game.. It was eventually cancelled, but we choose not to go altogether, since Micky was sure of the outcome. Hopefully we'll be able to go when the game is rescheduled!

What they want is stuff such as health insurance (which we have - I am on Micky's), utilities bills, mortgages, joint bank accounts, etc etc. Of course, if those people are not idiots, the fact I am giving up a government job in Italy in order to live here with my husband should be proof enough that I have not married him for a Green Card. I have to admit, if things were not so bad at home, I'd go back in a heartbeat, because I hate feeling like I have to prove that I'm innocent of a crime.

You mean Greenslade's debut album? I've got that and "Bedside Manners Are Extra" - both very accomplished albums, though I must admit they leave me somewhat cold. Micky is quite into Ange, while I find the vocals a tad offputting.

Yep, the debut. I really admire a couple of the musicians on it (the criminally underestimated Tony Reeves and Andy McCulloch), and I have to admit, so far, I really like it, especially the vocals a couple of reviewers are complaining about. I can understand where you're coming from on both of them, though I think the vocals are perhaps what make Ange (well, from what I've heard) so unique... I've never heard a band that uses them quite like that.

Some RPI bands are even more extreme in their use of theatrical vocals, or at least very alike. Anyway, since you're a huge VDGG fan, I can understand that kind of vocal style doesn't bother you at all, on the contrary.

My exam went very well, actually; it was easier than I expected. I'll have to see what my score was, but I'm 99% positive I got the grade I needed to keep an A in the class. Now just 1 more!

Alright, I'm going to go get some exercise and do a thing or two. I'll be back!

Unfortunately, non-Americans marrying Americans so that they can move to America and work is a common occurrence.  I recall reading a story about a woman whose "job" was essentially marrying foreign men so that they could move, live, and work in the United States.  Although, I am all for We Are The World and all that, in order for a government to govern its people, it needs to set definitions of who those people are or who they can be.  And unfortunately, for each person who tries to go through the proper channels and legal means there are hundreds that try to cheat the system or have alternative motives not in the best interest to our country and its citizens.  As the saying goes, a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch, and it is all of these bad apples that makes it so difficult for the good apples in the bunch.

It's 1984-1985 and I have absolutely no idea what's going on with Zappa's music. It's just his worst ever (yet?).
