Once Friday comes though, it'll be so sweet. I'll have nearly infinite time for a few months to work on composing, spend time here, and other stuff.

Oh, so it's exams week?

That'll be the end of May till the half of June for me.

And I have to start learning for those 100-pages courses like Folklore, History of Music or Pedagogy.

And there are still 2 essays to be written both for Music Theory and History Of Music. Cry

Yep, my last day of classes was on Friday. I just have to make it through 5 exams now.

Well, 3 weeks of exams (what I have) doesn't quite match 5 days of exams, so good luck! Clap

Thanks! Hopefully I won't need it.

I have around 12 exams.

Yikes, that sucks. Dead

All that matters is for them to not be scheduled close to one another.

Definitely.

I prefer Belew-era myself though.

I love the Power to Believe and THRAK is ok, but Discipline has so far left me pretty cold. Belew's voice and something in the sound just don't sit well with me. I've been thinking about buying the other two 80s albums at some point anyway, being somewhat of a completionist on every band I really like. Perhaps they'd work better, perhaps not.

Hmm.. that's weird. I would say try looking up some videos of the 80s era playing live on Youtube, but they're not there anymore.

I know what Rob would say though; get "Absent Lovers".
At some point I was thinking about getting Absent Lovers but then I just didn't, can't remember why anymore. I've not given up with their 80s output yet, I'm sure there's some greatness in there, because they were fantastic before and did at least one brilliant album afterwards with Belew. Perhaps I'll give Discipline yet another listen tomorrow, there's some enjoyable parts there too, perhaps they start to expand...

Bingo. Though I grew to love Discipline, Absent Lovers is simply leagues ahead of what they achieved in the studio.

I've now studied almost 12 hours for my Econ exam tomorrow. And I may have to study a bit more for it if I don't work on my History one on Tuesday. Dead

I'd say definitely give that one a try. If you don't like it, then it's not worth further exploration.

I love the Neal and Jack and Me DVD though. That's an alternative as well.

I used to think it was only 4 stars, but hearing the amazingness of Colors first probably took it longer to grow on me. I only recently thought it was a masterpiece. Not quite as good as Colors, but still a masterpiece. And Selkies might be is one of the best songs they've ever written.
