Flatulence when bathing is nothing to be proud of, young man
Seriously, nice shot - did you use a filter or manipulate the colour in any way? For me - back to the English canals on a misty summer's morning: As I remember, when the mist cleared, it turned into a scorcher of a day. |

You caught me Jim, the colors are seriously shopped But what isn't these days. I need to splurge next time have some dough. The shot itself is a telephoto shot of a rushing river in Lynn Valley in North Vancouver. There's also a wicked suspension bridge that I might have some shots of somewhere...
Nice shot of the channel, btw! |

This the bridge you're talking about? My dad used to live in North Van. Nice pics all of you by the way! |

Really? Everytime I go there's hardly anyone there. Everyone goes to Capilano, not knowing that Lynn is free.

How... high... is... that... bridge...?
Mine aren't - I try to keep all photos exactly as taken; about the only thing I'll do is maybe a bit of judicious cropping or 'mend' an image if there was a spot of crud on the lens.
Canal, boy - the word is 'canal' +++shakes head+++ |

Now I wish I could take credit for this one, but unfortunately not:
Taken by my wife Vicky (another member here) with her Canon S1. The dragonfly had just hatched in front of her & you can see the empty larval casing on the right of the shot - classic case of being in the right place at the right time with plenty of patience. |

That's a fantastic shot!
Oh and most of my pictures were taken by my friends, not me. I don't even own a camera unfortunately. I'm interested in photography though and am thinking of buying a proper camera this summer. Maybe Mike can help me find a good one. |

50 metres? That's not too bad - from your photo it looked considerably higher - nice shot by the way. |

^Yeah it's not too bad. There's another bridge nearby that's 70 metres, but it's a tourist rip-off.

Channel We don't really have them in Canada, so I'll call them what I please. OR I'll correct myself when Americans start using Colour and Cheque |

Been there too. Capilano, right? Cost us a couple of bucks, but it was pretty fun |

^Why? It was going to be the first time someone beats a Admin! You fool!
Anyways, not sure if I commented in this thread, yet, besides previous post, but I must I've been loving this thread a lot so far. Pittily, I don't have a good cam, if I had, I would surely post something here. |
