Hey, as long as some of us are on a Decemberists streak...I have a quick question that I'm unsure of where to put. 

It seems that the "Live Albums" section of the band's page is empty. This is not quite accurate; barring the incredibly dreadful bootleg I have, there are, in fact, TWO official live release by the band, The Decemberists Live From SoHo, and the slightly earlier (I believe) Connect Set: The Decemberists.

Now...here's the clincher. The damn things are digital only releases, fresh from iTunes (and two years ago) and something called "Sony Connect," which appears to be sort of like iTunes, only more so from Sony. Each EP is listed at iTunes, Wikipedia and allmusic (where Live From SoHo is called "Swords Over SoHo, doubtlessly referring to the album cover), although neither appears on the Decemberists' own website.

Anyway, yeah. Thar we go. It's an online only release! What does that mean? I'll be happy to add them, if that is the overall wish of the council.

Interesting question... I believe they should be added. There are many albums in the database that were released only on the net, I think. Any other opinions?

we add albums from artists that ARE official releases.. even if they never make it to a brick and mortar...  if it is an mp3 (digital) album released by the band... it counts.

I agree with Tuz - it makes sense that a release is a release regardless of the media.  So I say add them
 
The Connect Set will probably end up being a response to a thread someday for the worst title of a song on these Archives though:

need to get on with reviewing some more of their albums.. anyone notice they have made their way into the 'popular artists' on the main page.

Alright, tossed 'em both in. They're both technically EPs and Live sets, so...I put Live From Soho in live albums, and Connect Sets in EPs. Why? I dunno. Song quantity I suppose. I also thought initially that "Please Daddy (Don't Get Drunk This Christmas)" was a studio run, but I think I'm wrong. There's also no clapping on the latter one I think. Either way, it seemed less "livey." 

Could someone PLEASE check through the personelle lineup on each addition? Someone smarter than me? For Connect Sets, SOMEONE is playing a glock, and I don't know who. Also, I tossed in that Chris Funk is playing pedal steel on that one--I think he also plays some kind of higher stringed instrument...if this were Tull, I just toss it off to Martin playing a mandolin, but it's not, not quite. Also, for Live in Soho, I can't even tell if Chris is ON the bleedin' album. And who the hell keeps playing those violins?
