I like Coldplay's "Viva La Vida", including the poppy title track.
I 'love' two songs from Linkin Park's last album

Haha, well i like ASIA.
Mostly Heat Of The Moment pretty damn cheesy, but I love it.
Also, Kayleigh by marillion is pretty cheesy, still an awesome song.

DAMN straight.  I love that song, it's infectious, it burrows into my brain and loops around and around. I thought that whole album was damn good.
A lot of friends really lost respect for me after I admitted to liking that one.

The albums "Young and the Hopeless" by Good Charlotte "International Superhits" by Green Day "Astro Lounge" by Smash Mouth. These have come to be some of my favorite albums (even though I wouldn't rank them quite up with Close to the Edge, Dark Side or Selling England  ) mainly because they have a lot of nostalgic value for me. And the songs Hot n cold by Katy Perry and Disturbia by Rihanna. they're catchy tunes. You can't deny it.

What's to be embarrassed about? Great pop music is great pop music. I have albums by Madonna, George Michael,Wham! alongside Can,Captain Beefheart, John Cale,Xray Spex and Chic and Goldie. If it makes your foot tap it works. The only thing I woud hide is Heavy Metal. Music for boys too scared to speak to girls

Yes, Coldplay's Viva La vida's title track is very melodic and has an awesome spacey instrumental break after a chorus. The closer is my favorite tho, because the climax is pure prog bliss in 7/4
I find 'Offspring' entertaining.

As a joke, my ghirl bought me the Jamie Foxx album... because we were laughing at "Blame it" the other day ("blame it on the a-aaa-a-alcohol blame it on the aa-aaaa-aa-lcohol)...

True! When you have to hear some REALLY bad music at work like I do, you begin to appreciate a song like Viva La Vida amongst the contemporary country music and Cher songs from the 90's 
And yeah the last track is fantastic, although I didn't even realise it was in 7/4 until just now!

That's not embarrassing to normal hip people though, we're the ones (prog listeners) that are supposed to carry around excessive helpings of public guilt. I suppose i can't deny that i have considerations of people believing that i'm crazy as sh*t when they hear me listening to any RIO or Zeuhl.

As a matter of fact Jamie Foxx is actually a classically trained pianoist, and a damn good one, he played all the parts on the Ray Charles movie without seeing (he made sure the make-up covered his eyes it was like he was blind for most of the day during shootings).

Wow. That makes him more than just a good actor, that makes him quite awesome... I've never seen the Ray Charles biopic, as you can guess.
