The news is now reporting what we already knew that the computer search turned up nothing.  Amber was not chatting with boys/men. Just her friends. No new leads.  The mother went to Mexico yesterday to file the paperwork necessary to get the police to start searching there. They were already out in red light districts and homeless areas before she had even returned to the States.  Tomorrow they have a  fund raiser going on a motorcycle ride from San Juan Capistrano down to Escondido with a raffle and BBQ.

Yesterday there was a poker motor cycle rally and show held in benefit of the Amber Dubois Search Trust.  It was a bit interesting as there were four rival gangs that participated and all parked and sat in the same area but they put all their differences aside for Amber and the family and helped raise thousands for the cause.  The best part was when all three of the winners of the poker rally donated back $1000 of the $1200 prize money.  Very touching indeed.  All this means is we have more money to continue the search.

On a musical side note this picture is Stacy's Uncle, Amber's Great Uncle sitting in  with a local group The Kahunas at the rally. Most of you probably have never heard of Bob Welch but he is the orginial  drummer for the famous surf group The Chantays who's hit Pipeline was one of the major anthems of the Surf movement.  Read more about them here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chantays

That's pretty damn impressive for certain. Smile

THe latest disappointment is that NASA told the Escondido Police they do not have any satellite photos of that area at that time.  I guess a person can really just vanish into thin air. Cry

One more bump to keep this on the front page. I've been following this thread but really haven't had anything to say. All the best wishes.

Thanks Micky and thanks to all of you keeping this thing alive. I know this is a touchy subject around here but I should mention it.  Tomorrow is an official day of prayer for Amber. For those of you so inclined if you would register your church, group or yourself on the website to let us know you are participating. For those of you not inclined to prayer do us one favor and tomorrow at some some point picture Amber in your mind back home with her family safe and sound.

Thanks PA we love you

Brian and Stacy

While I know people go missing every single day around the world, it still astounds me how many children just vanish.  Since Amber is someone we know indirectly through Brian, she becomes part of our everyday thoughts and I know I'm not the only one who looks at her picture and feels she is more than a news story.  It becomes personal after a while, even if many of us are strangers in real life.  I think you all know what I mean.  We're with you Brian, hang in there.

Jim thanks.  That was a beautiful sentiment and we both appreciate your heartfelt thoughts. I hope to meet you one day and shake your hand and say thank you in person.

amen to that Brian... that was well said by Jim.. thank goodness for those that can put into words what those like me,  that communicate in grunts and strategic scratching of one's self,  can not.

when you posted that  link last weekend ...I just stared at her pictures and I did feel in my own way as if a part of my own family had gone missing.  That has made it personal. Heart

Sorry if I haven't posted much in this thread, Brian, but I trust you know Micky's sentiments are my own... I am just not very good with words in such circumstances, and am always afraid to say the wrong thing. However, I have never stopped thinking of you all, and still hope for a positive outcomeHug.
